Gonna bump this cuz y'all are kinda boring and we need new topics lol. Plus Smarv has me on his signature (Ri2) :tears: Anyway, my hubby messaged me on POF on Valentines Day LOL. No pic or profile blurb... just a short message along the lines of "Hey my instagram is van******* message me if u want etc". So me being naturally curious I went to his IG, added him and sent him a message lol. His profile pic was from a bodybuilding comp and he had those awful inspirational quote pictures on his IG lol. I remember thinking well he's fit so he's not gonna be interested in me. We talked for a month on IG and he invited me to a bodybuilding show in March. I was nervous so i used my vape for a few hours. I was late an hour for our first date LOL we had dinner first at Old Spaghetti Factory in New West. I remember turning the corner seeing him and going "oh wow" in my head lol. When he took his jacket off inside the resto, I just went "Jesus". We walked to the show, up a huge hill where i decided to tell him I was actually high as shit so walking up the damn hill was killing me. I guess he was surprised - he said i didnt look the type to blaze and i wasnt acting high at all lol. Show was great, we brushed arms casually a few times and I smelled him. After the show, we took a walk where i spent some time inspecting baby millipedes coming out of the cracks in the concrete. When we got back to his house he pulled the ol "so do you wanna watch a movie on my bed? It's more comfy than the couch" so i knew it was fuckin on - i said sure and when we got on the bed and the movie was playing he just stared at me so I jumped him lol. I slept over that night :ifyouknow: A week later, I moved in and I'm a housewife now. (Love u boo xoxo) |

Keep trying though cuz my attitude was if I'm "normal" there has to be some other normal people like me out there lol. I didnt really put myself in situations where I can meet guys regularly - I keep to myself and don't have many friends where I could have met their friends etc. I've met some great guys through online dating some of whom I remain friends with :) |
Met the wife in the hallways of high school during grade 10. We ran in different circles; she was part of the smart kids, and I was not lol. She was in the accelerated program (you do courses one grade ahead) so we never interacted before. I was tagging along with a mutual friend. He introduced us and we started to talk. We sat as group on the floor during lunch time. She let me play what I now fondly call "boobsketball." I threw quarters down her shirt from across the sitting circle. I now know how ridiculously inappropriate it was; but she let me. Fast forward many nights of MSN chats, I finally asked her out and she said no.... She later told me it cause I awkwardly bumbled my way through it. When she didn't say yes right away, I said we could meet up with friends instead. I was crushed. But she saw through it a couple of hours later and called me to clarify. It's been 12 years this year. Proposed last year in Paris, married this year on our anniversary, and hoping to start our family next year! |
MSN chat, oh fuck those were the days. I was a grad ‘07 so right in the prime of man, before kids all got cell phones and texted |
ICQ days were the best!! Met my GF in a scooter club, 4 years ago the scooter scene in Vancouver was booming, we would have rides every Sunday like Church, and every May long weekend was a Scooter Rally in Victoria and we hosted our own Labour Day long weekend rallies. During one of the May Rallies we started talking and getting to know each other. After the rally we started dating and really got to know each other. Few years down the road we now live together and fight to park our bikes in our condo.. She wins and I park mine at her parents garage (safer for my bike, more likely to get stolen). Now she's interested in getting her Motorcycle license as we've gone almost everywhere we can with our scoots, From Victoria all the way to Harrison via all back roads. She will eventually inherit the Grom and I will upgrade to a 300 just to ride with her. She drives a Jeep and loves to go off roading and I have my WRX and we go for cruises and take the dog on walks all the time.. I'm pretty lucky. |
