Tera Online just went open beta, i played a bit of closed beta and i'm liking it

i was going to try the open beta, but apparently they banned asia from playing, lol

I play TERA; great mmo to pass the time. I even have a nice little blog about it in my signature.

Played it this weekend. Pretty good so far, i liked the new crosshair combat style once i got used to it

i like how you have to dodge manually. it's not a passive ability. kept me on my toes once i discovered it.

worst part about open beta is the trolls in chat.

What server do/did you guys play on? Soloing BAMs is crazy fun, kept me on my toes fighting those ovoliths.

Is it open beta right now?

it just ended 30 minutes ago. Next up is the head start on Saturday.

you should've tried it on the open beta weekend. I personally like it, the combat system is the main appeal. Story-wise, I have no idea what's going on, I just complete the objectives. Other aspects of the game are similar to a lot of other mmorpgs I think.

It was pretty good, not sure if I would pay box copy + sub for it though. Wait and see if it goes f2p.

Also i was extremely creeped out buy that weird kid-bunny race.. so creepy.

Got an email saying my account has been reactivated. The game is going F2P, I just might play it again.

Half a year for it to transition to f2p. That didn't take long at all.

Same I might pick up tera again since its f2p

I started playing too.

My Tera experience:

1) Downloaded client
2) Signed up for an account
3) Confirmed account with URL sent to email
4) Completed client install
5) Client will not let me log in to my confirmed account
6) Reset password on Tera website
7) Confirmed password reset on Tera website, logs in fine
8) Client still won't let me log in
9) Go to submit ticket
10) Ticket submission requires key, which is sent to email
11) Receive ticket submission key, enter it into support site form
12) "This account cannot be updated at this time"
13) Guess I won't be checking out the TERA trial...
14) Disabled "Account Armor" in account control
15) Still can't log in or submit support request
16) Tried to log in through a different browser (Firefox)
17) "Account Armor" pops up again, sends new code to my email
18) "This account cannot be updated at this time"
19) Can no longer access my account in Chrome
20) Guess I REALLY won't be trying TERA

I dont think it F2P yet for new accounts.. gotta wait till February for those.

Free to play Tomorrow! (Feb 5).

I downloaded the Unlimited Free Trial and am quite enjoying this game.

Still much to improve on this game...

Really enjoying the game compared to when it first launched,

They raised the drop rate it seems

Can't wait for tomorrow to go live
