I was driving downtown and I was wondering why people were all dressed up in crazy costumes :)

I went and had a good time. Picked up some Ian Navarro artwork.

Saw some pretty good looking girls in outfits. It was like pre-halloween party for them. Suicide girls also had a booth there :fullofwin:

Highlights for me: Solid Snake laying on the floor with charmander, sexy link, Thor hitting on a chick in an elmo....ohhh and........

$100 to get a picture and autograph with adam west/burt ward though... fan expo was alright for the first time, was kind of a feeler of the interest... should be much better next year

It was an alright convention thought a lot more people would dress up as a variety of characters :(

Met some of the Reboot cast, met the dude that voices Inuyasha, and of course Veronica Taylor who voiced Ash and Ash's mom in the original Pokemon. Definitely brought back memories<3

I wonder how much it woulda cost to have an autograph from Tom Felton if he went lol

Checked it out on Saturday cause it was something new to see. I wasn't expecting Comic Con but did expect more for sure. It was actually pretty disappointing to say the least but it was pretty hilarious seeing people dress up.

^its the first year, and based on the turnout i think next year will be much bigger.
these conventions get better as their reputation spreads and people actually travel from convention to convention to show off their costumes. this weekend was probably almost all locals.

What did you get comissioned by him? Ended up having dinner with him and his cousin saturday night. Awesome dude.

it was actually very meh. Not enough panels, not a big enough room for the turnout and while they had some celebs, they didn't have enough. A con isn't just suppose to be stuff you buy, it's suppose to have a lot of panels, and the panels filled up quickly because of the amount of people. Paying 20 dollars to buy stuff? Granted there were SOME good deals, especially on back comics, and hardcovers

Next year will probably be bigger but I hope people aren't soured by the fact that it sold out. Fuck the homestuck cosplayers, seriously.

I mean I went to Emerald City which is bigger and has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more names and panels. And has been there for 10 years. Coudln't stop laughing when I heard it was sold out with like 4 big names, and a few decent artists/authors (mike choi, stuart immonem and his wife). So Vancouver does have the capacity to hold a big con (especially in the big banquet room that has floor to roof windows)

I got a bunch of Drake Tsui's (or Tse) prints and an artist that used abstracts in photoshop, I'll post the prints and posters that I bought, I also met captain jack sparrow :fullofwin:
