Lol people seem to not be able to grasp the concept of, 'less is more.' They have to over do everything!

Grim 04-25-2012 01:02 PM

matte looks like shit on most cars...
i know it, you know it, everyone knows it.
and tsx is one of them

someone had to point that out :/

jpark 04-25-2012 01:05 PM

wow, not a fan of matte black at all in the first place, but looks like even more absolute shit on a completely stock car LOL

jagan323 04-25-2012 01:10 PM

Psykopathik 04-25-2012 02:38 PM

lol...if I didn't see the other pics, I would've guessed he was spraying in a back alley somewhere in SE Asia.

rJZx 04-25-2012 02:43 PM

I'd try gunmetal grey and if it looks tacky its only 300 and I could just peel it off...

IF you do plasti dip your car (for whatever reason) it can be done right.. can't find pics now, but there's a guy on the G35 forums who did his whole car, except he did it in his paint shop with proper mixing of the liquids and proper equipment and everything, and it came out looking as smooth as vinyl wrap, not blotchy and rough like out of a can...

He warned others if you do it his way not to set the nozzle pressure too high, otherwise the plasti dip will rip your clear coat off when you decide to take it off.

You mean this? :suspicious:

did my grille a week ago..
don't understand why someone would treat a CL9 like that...:ohgodwhy:

hk20000 04-25-2012 10:08 PM

if you rub the edge of the headlight with your bare fingers you can peel the pastidipped headlight in a clean go.

Maybe the guy just wasn't too sure if the plastidip was dry enough for peeling?

cause people are bored with their car and try to make it better by treating it like sh!t

Psykopathik 04-26-2012 08:07 AM

ok can someone clarify this for me. What is Plasti dip for? is is temporary paint? trim? some random paint product someone decided would look cool to coat their car in?

im serious. That first black car looks like someone shot undercoating all over it...

ZordosZZ 04-26-2012 08:28 AM

i think it's original purpose is to give tools and other things a rubber coating for scratch protection/ extra grip.

then people started painting the interior trims for a while and it eventually starting spreading outwards to wheels/outer body

i did my roof and hatch. not the greatest job on my roof but it's good protection against rock chips, my hood could really use it from all my highway commute

It WILL adhere, IF done properly. A simple Google & Youtube search will give you guides and DIY how-to's for your wheels.
