I dont get why people with expensive cars resort to the cheapest way of "painting" your car...

either they're owning cars they can barely afford or they're hipsters and proper paint jobs are too mainstream?

MWR34 04-29-2012 08:56 PM

maybe they want to try it out first? would be pretty stupid to blow a few K on a wrap job or even more on a paint job only to hate the color on your car.

Lol, $1000 I could've stripped the fairings and got them repainted.

6o4__boi 05-25-2015 11:28 AM

wow...lol.

Dragon-88 05-25-2015 11:34 AM

Got all my fairings painted on the Husky pearl white for less than $350, you sir got ripped off, this also included prep work.

Plasti dip is a cheap job just for temporary coverup, I would never paint a whole car/bike with plasti dip, looks like shit, and you can tell its not something thats meant to stick. It fades and loses color super fast.

Plasti dip is a DIY paint. If you cant DIY then you shouldn't even consider it.

Habboy 05-25-2015 11:38 AM

I got my whole car professionally dipped (climate controlled garage with pro spray guns etc) for less than $1000, not dip vancouver. ... And Im really happy with it.
Its buyer beware just like anything you get. Anybody that rattle cans their cars with PD is nuts if they think they are gonna get a decent job.

spoon.ek9 05-25-2015 04:58 PM

$1k on plastidip...................

nah 05-25-2015 07:53 PM

Are you suppose to take it off with a pressure washer though? I thought you just ripped it off?

Grim 05-26-2015 09:27 AM

doesnt that happen when you don't clean your wheels properly or if the wheels are wet? :suspicious:

underscore 05-26-2015 05:12 PM

looks like they didn't even take the wheel off so I doubt they did proper prep

Looks like it a part of it was torn off. That has nothing to do with "proper prep" work.
That wouldn't happen even if you plastidipped on top of a layer of brake dust.

AzNightmare 05-26-2015 09:53 PM

I stumbled upon this post in VAC.

Looks like this the guy that bumped this thread was "stone819" and he removed his posts and no longer has an account.

So wonder the newer posts didn't really make any sense.
