Only $7700 beer related

What every man needs a brewCave. Holds 30 cases of beer and 4 kegs. Comes with a built in beer tap and you could easily add more.

Don't get me wrong.. I love my beer..
But is this just a walk-in fridge with a tap on it?

Gridlock 04-27-2012 08:14 AM

Wow...that is retarded.

Seriously, how many people in this world need instant access to 4 kegs and 30 cases of beer at home? Do you party that much, and in that volume that a little pre-planning for a trip to the liquor store won't work for you?

I could see it if its wine. The true wine guys spend a small fortune on the collection, and it keeps...it can't be A bottle of whatever wine, it needs to be THIS bottle from this year.

Beer is beer.

bigzz786786 04-27-2012 08:29 AM

^ when it comes men and beer we need a beer fridge for our man cave, having the biggest and most bad ass fridge is like being the popular kid in high school.

Im not a wine guy, they all taste the same to me, bitter and dry

I guess you could say I'm a connoisseur of beer

Should I post a picture of the inside of my beer fridge?

It's filled with 7 different microbrews and my cheap staple currently, all have distinctly different tastes that I prefer at different times.

Beer is beer.

If you can afford something like this you buy it for entertaining purposes and of course that would be nice to have tons of options for beer as well.

That's like saying a purse is a purse or why do you need 137 pairs of shoes. We get are small enjoyment from having different options and it's all about bragging as well.

Beer is beer.

My stance is completely opposite. In my limited experience with wine, I personally find the differences in wine not just from winery to winery but from varietal to varietal are MUCH more subtle compared to differences in beer from brewery to brewery and definitely from different types of brews.

But like I said, I have little experience in wine; though I do drink it I have never been able to compare and really contrast different types. Not that I have with beer either, just that beers can be so drastically different compared to wine.

tiger_handheld 04-27-2012 10:14 AM

this would be cool in a man cave :)

dinamix 04-27-2012 10:51 AM

This is stupid.beer is meant to be consumed. Not stored in some bitch closet.

Benz_05TSX 04-27-2012 11:50 AM

beer wouldn't be the only thing I put in there to keep fresh :ifyouknow:

I'm curious, what's your cheap staple?

sonick 04-27-2012 12:33 PM

+1, I am interested too.

My cheap staple lately is Tree Brewing; Thirsty Beaver Amber Ale or Cutthroat Pale Ale. Very decent for the price, $2.15 for 500ml tallboy.

Think I'm gonna pick up some Czechvar after work today.

bigzz786786 04-27-2012 02:54 PM

my cheap staple is rickards red and granville island pale ale. But i also enjoy leifmans fruitess and innis and gun, im a big fan of belgium and scottland beer

Jermyzy 04-27-2012 04:42 PM

^Innis and Gunn, especially with a steak :sweetjesus:

Cariboo Genuine Draft, it's $15 for a 12 pack; the flavour is light, malty and sweet, without tasting watered down like Budweiser. A number of my friends have tried it since I started drinking it, they all enjoy it as well. I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot. Cariboo is also brewed in British Columbia, by an independently owned brewery, who does charity work within the province, which is a nice upside to it tasting great.

For a number of years, my turn to beer was Granville Island English Bay Pale Ale. Not terribly expensive, but also not cheap and during a late night of studying I don't appreciate it any more than Cariboo.

I'm starting a Beer thread, there's a potential for a very good discussion on microbrews and beer in general, I think.

Manic! 04-27-2012 09:48 PM

This should be built into it too along with something to dispense mix and ice.

Nothing worse than running out of beer during a drinking session.

Hmm, this is in the green can, right? I just finished a 6 pack of it, and to be honest I wasn't a fan. Thought it was cloyingly sweet of corn sugar.

Honestly as hipster or cliche as it is, I don't think PBR is that bad for a cheap beer.

I've also tried the Bowen Island Lager for a cheap beer, that tasted like piss.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I noticed the Red Racer White Ale is out.. :sweetjesus: It's the next step up from the Granville Island Robson St. Hefeweisen.
