Central City may have stock? Driftwood delivers Santori on standard delivery dates, not a special drop. Therefore, Central City was one of several stockists to accept an order post-initial release date mania.
GIB Mad Dash Fresh Hop ESB, again, an alternative wet/fresh hop beer is on shelves now. And the wet/fresh hopping is the defining quality of Santori, so it's something to check out.

I bought a six of Phillips Elsinore, a throwback to Strange Brew (80's Canadian film).
Elsinore is pretty much a Pilsner. I enjoyed the simplicity. I would give it 3.4/5. It's worth trying.

I bought a six of Steam Whistle Pilsner today solely because the bottle opener's not bad.
I had low expectations of Steam Whistle and was not pleasantly surprised, it's overall quite bland. I'm trying to not be harsh, but 2.8/5. Elsinore is a wayyyyy better pilsner.

I agree, I'm not a big red racer fan.
I assume it's so well-liked because it's a gateway craft beer, so people develop a fondness of it early on in their good beer drinking days.

One day my Dad found a Red Racer, which I think someone left with me at a BBQ over the summer, cracked it open, and immediately poured it out. |

So, CRAFT Beer Market opens tomorrow...
Speaking of Central City, pretty excited to hear their Imperial IPA is now going to be a regular item. Amazing beer.
I personally disagree with the above sentiments in regards to Red Racer. It is a solid IPA but far from a 'gateway' IPA (see above posts' Dad); admittedly a bit dated in taste profile compared to all the other varieties of IPA that have come out since then locally. If anything, Fat Tug is a far more accessible gateway IPA than Red Racer.
Speaking of gateway "craft" beers, I am officially over Lions' Winter Ale.

I'll have to refresh my memory of Red Racer and report back...
Lions' is indisputably a gateway "craft" beer... I'm over it.
I may try the Vertical by Tree Brewing.
I tend to drink Hermannator quite a lot through the Winter season, it's too damn good. It's also back on the shelves..

+100 on Hermannator. Picked up my first pack (but most certainly not the last ) of the season last weekend. Amazing.

picked up a bottle of salty scot by 49th parellel. Such a bizarre combination of flavors. But in the end I was very satisfied with it. Definitely a sipping beer, 7.5%. One of the best smelling beers I've ever had, must be the scotchyness.

It reminds me of the Granville Is. Winter Ale, but with more kick.

My girlfriend liked Salty Scot too, the caramel and toffee sweetness really helps.
Plus being at 7.5% is a bonus

I'd suggest saving the bottle and giving Fat Tug a second shot.
Fat Tug truly is a world class IPA, and once you like it, you love it, but it takes a little bit to adjust to that level of bitterness. It's a mildly acquired taste that's well worth acquiring.
