m3thods 05-03-2012 09:47 AM

Neat!!

LiquidTurbo 05-03-2012 06:12 PM

Hmm, according to weather, seems like weather isn't going to be good.. Darn. But, if on the slight chance the weather betters up, anyone interested in meetup? Senna any suggestions?

Senna4ever 05-03-2012 06:33 PM

- Cypress Mtn lookout
- Cambie Bridge if you want buildings in the foreground
- Stanley Park
- QE Park

LiquidTurbo 05-03-2012 08:59 PM

QE Park?

Good vantage point, as in no power lines.

pintoBC_3sgte 05-04-2012 05:08 PM

nice! I'll have to try and remember this. supposed to be a clear night here :)

Senna4ever 05-04-2012 05:10 PM

Another potentially nice place will be that pier at the end of Kerr St by Marine Drive.

I am leaning towards going to the first lookout at Cypress. According to my software, the Moon should be very close to Mt. Baker so if it's a clear night tomorrow, there be good shootin'!

sunny_j 05-04-2012 05:27 PM

i wouldn't mind going to the first lookout at cypress if you guys do decide to meet up

LiquidTurbo 05-04-2012 09:22 PM

I'm totally down for this shiet. Ramen first? LOL

smaggs 05-05-2012 12:46 AM

Thanks for the heads up. Might head up to Cypress myself!

How about we meet in front of the Benkei on Robson St, cross from the Safeway near Denman around 7:00? Then we can go up to Cypress?

LiquidTurbo 05-05-2012 09:44 AM

Probably 8:00 - 8:15-ish?

Of course, if it's raining, or cloudy then there's no point. :(

sunny_j 05-05-2012 10:06 AM

sounds good.
according to the weather network its suppose to be foggy tonight.

smaggs 05-05-2012 10:06 AM

I'll be at work till later in the evening, but come grab me if you guys see me come up...will be in a 1.6EL with white wheels and exhaust

LiquidTurbo 05-05-2012 10:08 AM

If its overcast.. then yea, but its a little cloud, if you're patient, it may move away from the moon. I'll just keep my eyes pealed on this thread today.

Foggy might be good...usually means clear skies at higher elevations.

Senna4ever 05-05-2012 10:34 AM

For those of you that have iPhones, download an app called "Skytracker" by Global News. It will overlay rain and cloud cover info on a map and also give you the weather forecast. I think it's updated hourly.
