Pearl fever Coquitlam and GLNF for me.

I still can't find a better malt milk tea than Pearl Fever, which is weird coming from a chain. Most milk teas I try at other one-off places like Pearl Drops are not as good imo.

GLNF has the best fresh fruit smoothies I've had in Vancouver- Strawberry-Pineapple-Orange!:fullofwin:

I like the green tea ice cream bubble tea at dragonball

On another note, the amount of sugar that is thrown into those drinks is disgusting. I don't drink bubble tea anymore.

I used to always hit that place up back when arcades wasn't taken over by Lan cafes in the late 90's. Actually RPM used to be a hot spot known for cheap ass food and a decent arcade. Those were the days.

You can always ask for "half sugar"...

yes it's a bit like Cafe Lu in California but if you know the owner you get a bit more. (but again... you kind of need to KNOW the owner to get in)

bcrdukes 05-11-2012 06:58 PM

it's just that there's a LOT of RS people there all the time. I would say about 70% of his customers are RS related.

I dont like BubbleQueen..
What8ver has good bubble tea. And of course, CHB
I only drink the classic milk tea anyways. the only drink you can measure up a bbt place

And I hate bubble tea.. as someone said..the sugar...
Basically its a shot of syrup ice+water+a pinch of tea

thats it

impulseX 05-16-2012 01:09 AM

bubble queen in richmond is pretty good, definitely a nice change. dont mind wh8ever cafe either.

Same. But the gf always wants to go, so if I must, I get it without pearls and half-sweetened.

I remember watching them make it at Tea Works..
Flavored syrup + pearls drenched in syrup + ice + tea. Even the fresh fruit ones, they use a bit of fresh/frozen fruit in place of the flavored syrup, but still another couple ladles of liquid sugar. :okay:

SeLiQa 05-18-2012 03:45 AM

Pearl Drops has huge portions, twice as big as some other places.
Here is a map listing all Bubble Tea restaurants in Metro Vancouver, 77 of them according to ChineseBites.com.
