The CIA stop an Al-Quaeda plot to detonate a bomb on U.S. bound passenger jet.

-articles about the CIA stopping Al-Quaeda from unleashing a bomb on a passenger jet headed to the U.S on the anniversary of the killing of Osama Bin Laden

-apparent use of an upgraded version of a detonation system for a bomb inside the bomber's underwear. That guy won't be blowing himself and the jet up anymore.

Mehh, for all I know, they could of set this whole thing up to make it seem like they caught someone on the anniversary of the killing of Osama Bin Laden :denied:

Great68 05-07-2012 03:56 PM

If this story is true, than it seems like we wasted a lot of money on those stupid body scanners.

This is just me and my crazy "out of that damned box" thinking, buuuut did we think that maybe they should be put at the originating foreign airports too?

pastarocket 05-07-2012 05:54 PM

These kinds of stories make me think twice about boarding a plane that's bound for the U.S.

I wouldn't be surprised at what Al-Quaeda is doing. Although Bin Laden is dead, his minions still take their U.S. terrorism shit seriously.

Talk about being haters and martyrs. These guys think outside the box, or in this case, think inside the underwear, to find out ways to get back at the Americans.

But c'mon. On the day their ex-leader was killed, they plan on pullin a stunt like this? Too obvious, too stupid. They're smarter than this...or are they not :suspicious:

falcon 05-07-2012 06:19 PM

Yeah, sure... more American "scare the people" propaganda.

A$AProcky 05-07-2012 06:22 PM

Anybody remember the original underwear bomber last christmas that was escorted through security by a US agent and let through without a passport? They used him to put the body scanning machines in place. And I believe the company that makes the scanners was the previous TSA head Chertoff.

Ronin 05-07-2012 06:48 PM

9/11 was great for the US government. They got to put in all the policies that they wanted because everyone was scared.

The backlash has hit in recent years with people getting increasingly concerned about privacy and whatnot so I wouldn't be surprised if the government though of something to put the fear back into people so they can do what they want again.

But then again, Al Queda are assholes so I wouldn't be surprised if they did try again.

Death2Theft 05-07-2012 06:53 PM

The sad thing is they would have spent all that money on "homeland security" on safer cars/highways they would save 100x the lives since 9/11.

Phozy 05-07-2012 07:06 PM

So with the crazy stuff going on with the U.S, how is Canada in terms of our level of propaganda?

P.S: Never trust what the government tells you..

Ronin 05-07-2012 08:00 PM

I get the feeling a lot of shit here in Canada gets swept under the rug not because of government propaganda and PR but because we generally have it rather good here in this country so most people don't have any fucks to give. No one complains when things are going well. I know there's a recession and gas is at 1.40+ but c'mon, compared to a lot of America and...well, a lot of Europe and the rest of the first world, Canada hasn't had any enormous ups or downs. Even during an economic downturn, it just hasn't been terrible.

But I think one could board a plane say in a sketchy country's airport (say Irans for example sake) and fly to Dubai with a parcel of something sketchy. At the Dubai airport one could take a connecting flight to the USA and I dont think you need to go through security again to go on a connecting flight, i thought you just switch terminals and proceed to board the next plane.

Someone correct me if im wrong, on international flights where there is a connecting flight to another country, do you have to go through security again?

Ferra 05-07-2012 08:44 PM

TSA conspiracy to make girls remove their underwear for inspection purpose... :ilied:

falcon 05-07-2012 08:45 PM

Yes, you do. You must go through immigration in the country you transfer in and go through security again to enter the area where you board the planes. I almost missed my connecting flight in Chicago last month because of this huge hassle.

Hondaracer 05-07-2012 08:50 PM

in the UK the propaganda is as bad, if not worse than the US in terms of "scare tactics" etc

funny how after basically like the one subway bombing, the cops there move from billy clubs to everyone having locked and loaded MP5's around their neck

rsx 05-07-2012 09:20 PM

I don't understand how these terrorists can be so goddamn stupid. Why not just go to a mall, city hall, or movie theatre and launch an attack. I guess we're lucky they're dumb as rocks.

Hondaracer 05-07-2012 09:36 PM

^ I've always thought the lack of terrorist bombings within the US by home grown terrorists seems to be the real conspiracy because like you said, if they are as crazy as we are lead to believe why doesn't someone just hijack a gasoline tanker orsinthing and crash it into a mall, school, etc

Hell even the Oklahoma city bombings were done using the fertilizer explosives mines use forblasting

Death2Theft 05-07-2012 10:23 PM

Thats because it's not true. Ask any of the many people that were at the scene after if anyone had any trouble breathing a key indicator of a fertilizer bomb.

This guy was killed by an airstrike carried out by the CIA on Sunday.
To be an observer of one of these CIA operations in real time would be better than any movie you can make.
