Analyst predicts that prices at the gas pump may go down this summer.

This analyst seems to think that the price of gas will be lower this summer due to a better balance of supply and demand. Michael Ervin sees gas prices peaking at $1.48 and dropping by 5 to 10 cents per liter.

However, the carbon tax goes up by 2 cents per litre starting on July 1st.

Your thoughts on gas prices? Is it going up or down this summer?

Poco and Abbotsford right now in the lower mainland but they are adding a gas bar to Langley and other Costcos in the future as well.

I think it'll go back up. I filled up a couple days ago when it was still pretty cheap and when I was on my way home from work, I saw it was at 146.6

Doubt it'll go down, I see the prices averaging at 1.40ish for a while. We might see prices drop by the fall around the US elections.
