$11 Microsoft office pro.

I know I know. You can get open office or download a ripped copy but I think $11 is a fair price for it.

Hello all. I found a sweet deal for microsoft office pro for
$11. (not a rip off or spam). If you're using a ripped off copy here's your chance to get a legit copy.
Go to this link: Microsoft Home Use Program - Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. The software suite includes Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Access and more!

You can approach it a couple of ways:
1_(for my co-workers) Use your fraserhealth email.
2_You can use your hotmail and gmail email accounts and use the code: FF2ABA8835
3_Students You can use school email address (your mileage may vary for this one) Ryerson, university of ottawa works. Mcgill does not
Congrats you have your almost free and legit copy of microsoft office. =)

Presto 05-15-2012 07:41 AM

Legally, it's not a legit copy, unless you work for Fraser Health, or attend an approved school, or an employee of a MS Volume license customer. Might as well use that $11 for beer money.

SkinnyPupp 05-15-2012 08:27 AM

It gives a legit key, and that's all that matters really. Technically not legal, but it's better than straight pirating it IMO

Psykopathik 05-15-2012 08:28 AM

good price to get an official virus free copy. old software or not :D

freakshow 05-15-2012 09:09 AM

I think Presto is saying, from an ethics standpoint, you might as well keep the $11, because fraudulently pretending to meet the requirements is the same as just illegally pirating it.
If you want it just so that you don't have to *bother* pirating it, that's a different story..

InvisibleSoul 05-15-2012 10:49 AM

Or you can pay the $11 to avoid having to deal with activation issues with real pirated versions.

Psykopathik 05-16-2012 10:32 AM

$11 VS $669 @ Microsoft

christ....

Jmac 05-16-2012 12:01 PM

Good deal. I used to get it for free when I worked at Staples, but $11 is easily worth it compared to using the free alternatives, especially if you use spreadsheets. The freebies aren't even close to Excel ...

CP.AR 05-16-2012 12:07 PM

still using the copy I bought when I was in UBC (Office 2007 Ultimate)... Having used 2010 at work is not worth the upgrade :heckno:

SkinnyPupp 05-16-2012 06:15 PM

I have 2 legit copies for me and my wife, but I am picking this up since I am still using 2003 on my laptop. I paid $50 for our copies I think, when there was a student deal

flagella 05-16-2012 08:39 PM

Nice. Thanks!

Acura604 05-18-2012 06:24 AM

thanks op! finally can get rid of my 2007 edition.

Preemo 05-18-2012 07:42 PM

Sweet! Thanks!!!!

Fcukedd 05-18-2012 09:07 PM

I believe so.

IIRC, they have this once every (few) years and it only lasts for a few weeks.

There isn't an Accept button. Anyone else getting this?

nns 05-19-2012 07:36 AM

It wouldn't accept my BCIT email address, and the link it sent to my Gmail address didn't work. Hotmail address worked though.

Will this install work on 64-bit Windows 7?

Yes.

Regardless of OS, it is just a microsoft office pro bundle.

You could install in this in ALL windows OS. Could probably do Win 95 if you were still running that.

:lol

Here's the 64bit link for Office from digitalriver:

http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/.../X17-75371.exe

Just enter the code you received in your email to activate it.

StaxBundlez 05-21-2012 02:12 AM

I bought this yesterday, downloaded and installed. No problems. Now I don't gotta keep rearming it. It's 13 dollars for an actual CD.

winson604 05-21-2012 10:17 AM

Used my gmail, had no issues and download is in progress as we speak.

Weird. I think if you used KMservice or whatever it was called, you didn't have to constantly re-arm. Never had to re-arm mine in the two years I had Office installed.

In any case, amazing deal.
