Leather Care - Need help!

Hi guys,

I just bought a new car yetserday. The business manager tried to sell me the leather protection package which I think is a ripoff. I personally think they just apply a leather conditioner which I believe I can make the same result by using Zaino Z-10. I would appreciate if someone can share with me about the leather care knowledge or tips.

How should I do to protect my leather seat for a new car?

I've used Meguiar's and it seems to do a good job. It lasts about 2.5 weeks before I need to apply more conditioner.

If you have Zainos, that should be fine as well. Just be consistent with your applications if you really want it to last.

What kind of car is it? With the exception of mega dollar exotics, most "leather " these days has a eurathane coating to make maintenance easier for the owner. All it will ever need is a vacuum and wipedown with a damp cloth every couple of weeks and then every few months go over them with a leather cleaner. The coating makes it virtually impossible for any type of conditioner to actually get to the leather portion of the seat.

If you want that leather to look new for years, make sure you apply conditioner so it restores moistness, every 5-10k km
Its a simple thing that will make a big difference in the long run
