I'm not the one hosting this meet, but as with all meets whoever wants to show up can so modified cars are welcome too is what I would imagine... I know members are generally worried about being vi'd, which is why (and I could be wrong so don't quote me) anytime police officers have kindly given their time to come out vi's aren't given out at all and the only tickets are for douchbaggery stunts like speeding, unsafe driving, burnouts, etc

Certain members may be concerned with an increased likelihood of VI's at a meet where there is a police presence, but those same members should be aware that they face that risk everytime they take to the streets in an illegally modified car. Members concerned with VI's should also be aware that regardless of whether the local police make us aware that they will in attendence, a large group of modified cars will never go unnoticed and there will always be an increased likelihood of VI's in the proximity of meets as a result.

Speaking for myself, I would welcome a more active police presence at meets. Too many times a select few people have prompted the ending of a meet by racing around a parking lot in a misguided and idiotic attempt to impress people.

Man, I need to check the 'Unoffical Meets' section more often! I missed the first two! :(

Hi all,

yes 10-9 got in touch with me before and I suggested the Stock Car & Newbie meet was a good opportunity for him to get to know some of you on here. It would provide a platform for him to get to know you (young, new drivers) and for you to get to know him (police division) for future projects.

If you are interesting in helping the cause, I would suggest attending the S&N III meet to talk to him. And in case you didn't know, police have come out to many past meets, in plain clothes and/or in uniform.
