g35 coupe 2005 airbag module

just recently my SRS light started blinking, i've done the reset found online and it worked for a few hours and came back blinking again.

so today i went to morrey to get them to check it out and for 75 dollars they tell me that the driver side airbag module has open circuit.

'DTC B1049, B1054 DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG MODULE OPEN CIRCUIT" was what came out of the computer check.

now they want 1365 plus taxes to get it replaced.

now they said that in the event of an accident the airbag may or may not deploy. i have no clue what the B1049/B1054 coding is i tried looking online,

does anyone know any other places that will replace this at a lower cost? i called a few shops and they don't work on airbags. i will call a few body shops to see whether they work on this type of stuff.

any input is much appreciated.

thanks

This may be a recall issue. I suggest looking into a bit more.
