OTTAWA (NEWS1130) - Police in Ottawa are at the Conservative Party's headquarters this afternoon investigating a gruesome package. A human foot was delivered to the office by Canada Post.

The package was partly opened, before HAZMAT was called. The box was removed from the offices a few hours after it was opened.

Wrapped in a yellow bag, it was carried by a police officer to a red minivan waiting just outside the main doors to the building.

Police were called shortly before the lunch hour from someone at the Tory party offices reporting a suspicious package.

Nothing's been released as far as where the foot has come from but Ottawa police have been contact with Montreal police after a torso was found in a suitcase.

It's not known whether the body parts are connection.

Police identify body-parts suspect; severed hand bound for Liberals - The Globe and Mail

Police allege the murder of a man in Montreal – and the subsequent mailing of at least two body parts to Ottawa – was the work of 29-year-old male model and adult-film performer Rocco Luka Magnotta.

One part, a foot, was delivered to Conservative Party headquarters. The second, a hand, was destined for Liberal Party offices, The Globe and Mail has learned.

“He is our No. 1 suspect,” said Commander Ian Lafrenière of the Montreal police, who launched a public call for help to find Mr. Magnotta. “The suspect and the victim knew one another.”

Cdr. Lafrenière said the crime scene is horrific, given that the body was dismembered. He said that “some body parts are missing.”

The identity of the victim has not been made public, although he said it was a white male.

The strange case has gripped Canada with the discovery of a torso in a suitcase in Montreal, a foot by staff at Conservative Party of Canada headquarters and a hand in another package by officials at Canada Post.

Mr. Magnotta has a long electronic trail on the Internet, including modelling pictures and allegations he suffocated kittens.

He told the Toronto Sun he has worked in the world of adult films and was born Eric Clinton Newman, before he legally changed his name. He also vigorously denied rumours of a romantic liaison with Karla Homolka, who has served a 12-year sentence for manslaughter.

According to Montreal newspaper La Presse, Mr. Magnotta had been living in a small apartment in recent months. The residence is now treated as a crime scene by Montreal police.

In Ottawa, police announced in a statement late Wednesday morning the investigation has determined both packages – the hand and the foot – originated from Montreal.

They said Montreal police will now be leading the probe, with Ottawa supporting, and that Ottawa police will no longer provide comment on the matter.

Stephen Harper’s campaign manager Jenni Byrne was present Tuesday when Conservative Party headquarters staff opened a grisly package containing a severed human foot.

“The package was brought to Ms. Byrne because it looked suspicious,” Conservative Party spokesman Fred DeLorey said. “It was opened, Ms. Byrne examined it, saw the blood and smelled the odor and made the decision to call police.”

Police announced late Tuesday night they had intercepted a second suspicious package containing another human body part, later identified as a hand. It was found at a Canada Post office and was not addressed to the Tory headquarters.

The Montreal remains were discovered Tuesday morning, when a janitor working outside a building in the west-end Côte-des-Neiges area found body parts, including a torso, in a suitcase in a pile of garbage.

The 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick Video is filmed in a dimply lit room. A naked male is seen tied to a frame of bed while his captor stabs him in the abdomen with an ice pick. The victim is them seen with his throat slashed as his captor proceeds to slowly slice various parts of his body with a knife.

Later in the video, the victim is entirely decapitated and the captor uses his kitchen knife to cut into the muscles and dismember one limb after another.
