tiny red spots on skin?

Recently I noticed a lot of tiny tiny red spots appearing on my skin. They are primarily on my arms and legs and there are lots of them spanning from top of arm down to wrist, thighs to the top of my feet. The dots are tiny and sort of hard to see unless you get up close. They don't itch or anything, in fact, I can't even feel them.

I was wondering if anyone knew what these might be? It seems like they come and go because the ones on my arms are faded now (but still there). I wonder if it has something to do with the warmer season?

Took some pictures of my leg:

Anyone have any idea?

First of all, nice legs

I think they are some allergy spots due to an allergy. Or possibly just blood thats not running well. Sometimes I get distinct red spots on my arm like 1 or 2 but it just goes away after a week or so

looks a little like a prickly heat rash....but it doesn't look like anything to be too concerned about.

Yup. Same. I've had that since I was a kid as well.
Don't know how to get rid of it, but not a huge problem

i think what he has is a little different (unless he has had them since we was a kid)

those little bumps are called Keratosis pilaris...they are kind of like goosebumps. they are VERY common and have no effect on your life (ie: no itching, etc.)

i find that when i exfoliate and use good BodyShop bodybutter religiously, it almost disappears. i also find that when i get a tan, they disappear as well.

hmm
yeah I did some searching myself and figured it must be something like a heat rash or that "Keratosis pilaris" that dinosaur mentioned. Just that I was never able to pin it down since, for example, for Keratosis pilaris, it states that it is more prominent in the colder months, yet I swear it seems like the warmer season is causing it because I never even noticed it in the winter. Some parts are 'bumpy' but for the most part, 90% of the red spots are below the skin and I can't feel anything.

In any case, I'll see the doctor this weekend. I just couldn't wait and wanted some answers

thanks

you could always ask your family doctor for a referral to a dermatologist to get a professional opinion

Have your family doctor test you for gluten intolerance as well. There's a rash very similiar to that that many people with GI have before they go gluten free.

is it Pityriasis Rosea?

cant see your pics but my brother got it couple months ago. It starts to itch and dry up as it heals. Theres no cure for it atm, and its common for young adults. It also starts at a spot and spreads further down the body. Caused by season change.

heat rash can be irritating, I would rule heat rash out if it doesn't bother him at all.

pic doesn't work anymore

But it may also be petechiae, which are hemorrhaging under the skin.

What did your physician say?

I have this current condition all over my legs. Back and front side.

I'm thinking it's a heat rash. What the hell can I do to help? I've been using this cream (????? (Better-M Cream) - KMLE ??/??? ??) and this gel (?????? (Bumooly-S Solution) - KMLE ??/??? ??)

But new rashes keep popping up when the old ones disappear..

weird... didn't notice until I saw this thread. I got a spot on my forearm the size of a loonie with a dozen or so tiny red dots. Just showed up today, but it'll probably be gone by tmr.

I get it on my chest and shoulders when I am out in the sun, so I know mine is associated with heat rash..... could be anything really. If it doesn't go away in a few days, you should go see a derm

does it burn or tingle?

could be shingles....i had shingles once and it looked like that. it did not present itself in the typical shingle fashion...

may be worth going to the dr and double checking.

Eczema maybe?

If the doctors cannot pin point a specific condition, I think they will just label it as eczema.

I'm going to check with a dermatologist later this week.

I think it might be either heat rash and/or something fungal related.

It's limited to my legs (most on the calves) and a small area just below the elbow on the back of my forearms.
