Where to buy slim fit plaid shirts?

I'm looking to buy some long sleeve plaid shirts to wear untucked.

Budget is about $55 and under.

for the quality and fit ur getting them for, its worth it. Besides, if you go down to the states, I'm sure they'll have clearance sales and clearance racks from time to time...

Try H&M, Joe Fresh, 21Men (Forever 21 Mens)...

You should be able to find some nice stuff at a good price in those stores

If you don't care about quality, buy something super cheap like Old Navy or H&M and get it tailored.

We have a "where to buy local" thread. Online also means local from my experience.

Usually I'm not a fan of these stores, but AE has my favourite fit when it comes to plaid button ups.

Gap should have a few shirts right at your budget, decent quality and fit for the price.

I'm not a fan of AE's men's line.

imo AE is more of a teen/high school store.. not a men's store.. Even though I'm no longer in their target market, I still like their fits the best for button ups.

Depends on OP's body type I guess.
If you have a skinnier build I suggest AE/Hollister.. Even their regular stuff is already "slim fit." So their "slim fit" stuff will be even more form fitting.

If you have a medium/average build or above, then try Gap, Old Navy, H&M. These stores never fit me properly. I find the arm pit area and below are always too baggy/loose.

+1. I absolutely hate how they plaster their ugly embroidered Eagle logo on the chest pockets of their dress shirts; some of them are actually quite nice designs and fabrics and I would wear them to work if it weren't for the Eagle logo.

But as for plaid shirts as OP asked for, there isn't much difference in style between more 'adult' stores and teen/highschool stores other than fits.

If you're willing to fork around $50 more, I know Harry Rosen in Pacific Centre has slim plaid for around $100something.

For good quality and fit, you have to be willing to fork out the extra $$. Worth the money if you plan on wearing this for more than a few months/year. Those H&M and Zara clothes break so easily -_-

It seems to me that plaid shirts are fairly ubiquitous these days.

Try Winners for a logo-less design. As long as it fits in the shoulders, you can always take it to a tailor to get it fitted.

Do you guys have any recommended tailors to go to and approx how much would it cost to get a shirt fitted?

I wouldn't call AE a men's store either, but they classify the shirts in question as belonging to a "men's" line so that's what I referred to it as for clarity sake. I actually don't mind the women's line, even for twenty somethings, as it doesn't have the over exaggerated branding splayed out across everything like the "men's" line does.

It would depend on what exactly you want changed. There are multiple measurements on a shirt to consider. It would need to be a shirt of higher quality than is in question in this thread for it to be worthwhile having it tailored, imo.

Express -

If you time it right, they usually have BOGO sales, which put them in your price range or less. Slim and Extra slim fits are money.
