Car is back on sale. Below is the updated ad.
Reason for selling: May start a family soon and will need a bigger car.
It's really sad to see it go because I have babied this car since I bought it in 2007.
Model: 2004 Honda S2000 (US Import)
(2004 and 2005 S2000s are AP2s with throttle cable instead of DBW (drive by wire)
Color: New Formula Red
Mileage: 90,xxx km.
Non-smoker, no pets.
Interior: Interior is very well maintained (always used 303 aerospace protectant). The seats are in mint condition since I'm fairly skinny and never rubs on the bolsters.
Exterior: I had the opportunity to get the car almost entirely repainted due to a small fender bender accident I had last year. I'm extremely anal about my car, so I wash and wax frequently. You can tell by how much car wash products I own.
The bad: The title is rebuilt, but really that's just the title. I have done the research before buying the car and there's no frame damage. The car has been running strong for the past five years and I have not encountered a SINGLE issue other than the usual maintenance.
The good: The car got into a very minor accident last year (just a small fender bender). As a result, I had the chance to almost renew the entire car because I wanted the paint to match perfectly, so most panels were repainted. VOLK TE37 wheels were refinished in gloss black and the wheels are in absolutely mint condition. The parts that were damaged were all replaced with OEM parts and the total repair came close to about $10,000. Paint + refinishing wheels are not cheap.
Tires: Hankook Ventus EVO (Still lots of tread left)
225/45/17 Front and 255/40/17 Rear. Wider than stock size.
Below is a list of goodies and minor mods I have done to the car. Nothing ricey and they can easily be parted out.
- Honda OEM Headrest Speaker option. S2000 sound system is really bad without this.
- JVS KD-AVX2 Deck
- K&N FIPK Intake
- 63mm Resonated Testpipe with O2 fix. For some magical reason I passed my aircare with testpipe on lol. Currently, OEM Cat is back on the car because my gf doesn’t like the smell.
- Moddiction Countersunk Shift Knob
- Extended Floor Mats
- VOLK TE37 Wheels (Comes with T1R forged lug nuts with locks). You can sell them for $2,000 if you want extra cash.
- Compustar two-way alarm system including remote starter + turbo timer in case you want to FI the car in the future. (The alarm + installation was not cheap)
- Slightly lowered on Tein S-tech springs. It's a perfect height for me and anything lower you won't survive in Vancouver roads.
- Clear side markers with LED bulbs. White LED license plate lights.
- Noah Car Cover (one of the best car covers out there. Spent $200+)
The car has mostly used Motul engine oil except maybe one or two times I used Royal Purple because Motul was out of stock.
Recent maintenance:
Clutch was replaced. Brand new cross drilled/slotted rotors + Stoptech Street Pads).
I honestly cannot think of anything this car needs and it is ready for the next owner to enjoy.
Currently there is no insurance on this car. You are welcome to drop by and have a look. I would be happy to start the engine and let you examine. If you are very serious about the purchase, we will try to figure something out so we can take the car out for a spin.
Price -- $15,500 obo. Price is adjusted to reflect the title of the car. Feel free to throw offers.
I'm fairly serious about selling the car so if you are serious about purchasing, I'd be happy to work out a reasonable deal with you. Not looking to part out at the moment.
May consider trades depending on what it is (either +cash on my end or yours). Preferably 4-door sporty Japanese car.
i.e. CSX Type S, TSX, TL/TL Type S, IS250/350, Mazdaspeed 3/6, etc.
Below is the picture of the car:
The car's front bumper has a black moustache right now (see below) I put on as a joke, which can be taken off. Keep it though cuz girls love it.
And here are some pics to show how sexy red looks after wash & wax.
