lol... Canucks are saving their PP for the playoffs, when Kesler's finally cleared to play...

UFO 02-08-2013 05:16 AM

As bad as the PP is, do you guys really want them to go back to the drop pass entry every single rush?

Just thinking, don't recall seeing a Sedin slap pass tip yet either this year.

Hondaracer 02-08-2013 06:26 AM

Honestly I think the drop pass working 50% of the time would be better than what they are doing now holy fuck it's brutal

Considering ryan "shoot first" kesler never passing it shouldn't be a problem :troll:

Not really racist! 02-08-2013 08:24 AM

^ who knows.. hes been predictable ever since last season when he takes his shots so they've been blocked easily

he might give up some short handed rushes

The Los Angeles Kings have acquired defenseman Keaton Ellerby from Florida in exchange for a fifth-round selection
Kinda surprised. Ellerby a 10th overall pick. Heard he was part of the Luongo rumours too. surprised they traded him for a 5th round only.

Kesler has to get his wrist shot back, it's been pretty weak, hopefully the repairs he's had will mean the return of his strength and accuracy in that shot.

To be absolutely honest, I'm doubtful

Mike Oxbig 02-08-2013 12:50 PM

Kesler needs to do what Mike Richards did last year for us to have a chance. He's doesn't need that wrist shot to be 100% to give us a chance to go back to the finals.

UFO 02-08-2013 01:51 PM

With wrist AND shoulder injuries, to the same side no less, its no surprise he couldn't shoot worth dick. I'm not too worried about him getting his shot back, it'll just be a matter of how long it takes.

b0unce. [?] 02-08-2013 01:56 PM

just keep shooting the puck and hope for garbage goals/rebounds.

I think thats one of the main issues with the Canucks. Tehy try to pass the puck around on the outside, make the fancy and nice plays and are not shooting the puck enough at the net.

The other teams know this so they keep them on the outside until they make a move and force a turnover. The Canucks need to shoot low, go to the net and work their asses off to get those goals and it doesn't have to be pretty. Thats the main issue why our PP is horrible this year cause of the passing on the wall, how many times this year have you been yelling at the TV when we have full offensive control during the PP and they are just passing back and forth from the side wall and point?

Mike Oxbig 02-08-2013 02:18 PM

^ they have to pass to at least 2 people before shooting, thats canucks hockey :lol

kesler's shot is overrated and his defense game and present on the ice is under rated.

b0unce. [?] 02-08-2013 02:27 PM

i think he genuinely enjoys being a doucher or maybe related to chael sonnen.

thats why i feel like the grinders on our team are playing well at the moment. last game, lappy really had no open lane to shoot at, but he shoots it anyway and higgy tips it. guys like hansen gets so many chances in a game just from working hard and digging the puck out and just taking shots.

canucks need to play more dirty hockey infront of the net.

At least Kassian has his nickname protected. The 26-year-old has legally trademarked the name “Kassassin” in the U.S. and Canada, which means Canuck Zack Kassian will have to call himself something else.

Not surprised at all. The only way Lu was going to start the next game was if Cory shit the bed last game.

MR_BIGGS 02-09-2013 01:07 PM

Barker gets to play tonight and I don't think anyone else is sitting??? Does that mean we won't have a backup goalie? Luongo going to live tweet??

punkwax 02-09-2013 03:16 PM

Im in seattle right now and can't stream cbc's hockey day in Canada. Can someone PM a brotha a way to catch tonight's game? Thanks will be given.
