He mentions it could have been prevented...ya with kevlar socks like Bieksa wears now.

if they get the 1st overall this year they will be stacked in the future. guy projected to go first overall had 140+pts in 30games in alberta, similar projetions to ty rattie. to top that they have 2 15yr olds that look to have some talent, one they stole from a minny prep school and another from cloverdale

Fact of life with the level of player turnover the junior leagues see.
Quote:

Players aged 15–20 are eligible to play in the WHL, though 15-year-olds are permitted to play only five games unless their midget team's season has ended. Also, each team is allowed to have only three 20-year-olds on their rosters, unless there is an expansion team, in which case five 20-year-olds are eligible to play.
So for most guys, a WHL career is only 4 years - not a lot of time to build chemistry with teammates, not a lot of time to make trades for good players, especially as many of the really skilled guys won't really start to shine until they only have a couple years left.

So, who's got Ovie in their pool? Four points against the Devils today, including a hattie.

Penguins star forward Evgeni Malkin is reportedly suffering from concussion-like symptoms after smashing into the boards during last night's game against Florida. Report: Malkin suffering concussion-like symptoms | NHL | The Score

I lol everytime they use the phrase "concussion like symptoms." It's a fucking concussion. Stop sugar coating it.

You know what it means if the Blackhawks win the President's trophy in this short season?

No Stanley Cup for those bums from Chicago. The curse of the President's hardware. :troll:

I was targeting Ovie in a pool I'm in, but the guy wouldn't budge.

Main difference is that the leaf player pushed the senator into scrivens. Raymond clipped the goalie's foot on his own.

this a good scrap

gars 02-23-2013 08:20 PM

I still think all players should remove helmets before they fight, whether or not they have visors on.

EuterVanWasser 02-23-2013 08:29 PM

Yes, because surely that will help concussion issues. With all the attention concussions got last season and what's happening in the NFL I'm surprised the league hasn't cracked down more on fighting this year.

Anyway gars, I know what you're saying - but I think in 5 years time there will be far less fighting aloud in the NHL.

Wormiez 02-23-2013 09:23 PM

Saw Jeff tambellini play today at ubc with the thunderbirds alumni. I thought he signed with a Swiss league? Perhaps he might have another chance with the canucks?

Doubt it, we already have a stocked roster.
Maybe he got cut from the swiss league? Just practicing to keep in shape/skill wise

Edit: Looks like he and swiss team mutually agreed to end contract back in December. Guess Jeff just practices there to keep his head in the game, looking to enter the NHL again?
