Pro's and cons of buying a vehicle in Prince George *I hope that this is the correct place to post this... Given that I mainly live in Winnipeg, I know very little about places (in BC) located outside of the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. I am currently interested in a couple of vehicles which are FS in Prince George. What would some pros and cons be of purchasing a vehicle in the northern interior? One of my major concerns is the use of road salt and length of winter season. |
Cons -waste of time and money if you go see it and it's garbage -don't know if it will pass AirCare Pro's -none |
It would probably be in worse shape rust wise than a car from Winnipeg... I've lived in both provinces. |
I've seen a car brought down from Prince George some guy was trying to sell... Shitload of rock chips from all the highway driving and really bad rust. |
-rock chips on the front end and widshield -rust -if the person lives in town and commutes in town, the thing probably rarely warmed up before it was shut down since it takes less than 7 minutes to get from one side of town to the other -the one pro would be that it probably has low mileage but you should keep in mind how that mileage was aquired |
I don't see any pros in buying a car from up there. I used to live in PG and as previously stated, they are covered in rock chips, all have cracked windsheilds and all suffer from premature corrosion... |
