New Paint

Anyone recommend a decent place for a paint job that isn't going to cost 1/4 of what I paid for my car? I'd like to find a place that has a decent rep and won't charge me more than $1500 for it.

Have to agree. There are 3 things involved with any job. Speed, quality and price. As a customer, you get to pick one. A PROPER paint job ( everything removed including glass, nothing taped off ) will set you back upwards of $6k.

maaco could maybe be decent if you did all the proper prep work and took it there. But paint jobs cost lots. Could always risk it and buy a gun and paint it yourself. Just practice on a a junker or some shit.

even thats not cheap, if you do the prep work yourself and the R&I i could see you getting it sprayed for $1500. Paint isnt cheap

Do remember that a lot of shops wont paint something they didn't prep. And if they did, I highly doubt there would be any type of warranty.
