Selling my 1990 300ZX. I've owned it for roughly 3 years, and it's been absolutely babied during that time - weekend only car. The car is a factory Twin Turbo, NOT A CONVERSION. Car is in Cherry Red Pearl, which is relatively rare (only 1501 Twin Turbos were produced in this colour over the entire production run).
Basics:
-Left Hand Drive
-1990 300ZX Twin Turbo
-130,000 miles
-5 Speed, manual transmission
-Fully Loaded (leather, automatic driver's seat, automatic climate control, T-Tops, Power windows/locks/mirrors)
-Aftermarket alarm system (w/ immobilizer)
-cosmetically, she's stock.
Fun Stuff:
-Engine was pulled in December 2009, and fully rebuilt over the following year and a half. Everything that was upgradable, was upgraded. This includes:
---Wiseco Oversize 88MM forged pistons
---Carrillo Super-A Beam connecting rods ($$$$$$)
---Ferrea Oversize Valve Train (oversize intake and exhaust valves, dual coil valve springs, titanium retainers, etc). Heads and intake manifolds were ported to increase airflow.
---Jim Wolf Tune R400+ (R4+) Camshafts - race camshafts. Lobe-y idle, but still idles perfectly. Rotating assembly was balanced to 10,500 RPM. Redline is set at 7500 - we balanced it at this level in case of miss-shifts.
---Z1 GT675RS turbo chargers - Running at 12 PSI, but capable of 28 PSI on a secondary tune.
---740CC injectors, running billet aluminum fuel rails.
---Labree super split 3-inch down pipes, which runs into a:
---Billy Boat (B&B) hand-made 3-inch exhaust system. Resonators can be swapped out in 10 minutes for catalytic convertors (air care). This alone cost over $4000.
---JWT aftermarket ECU.
---Z1 5-inch side-mount intercoolers
---NGK Iridium spark plugs (2 steps colder then standard).
....I can keep going, but its basically had the whole she-bang done to it. I've kept all of the receipts, and they're available for viewing (also have further maintenance receipts that date back to 2006). The goal of the build was to create a car that has a very high horsepower output, but is capable to putting around town; this was accomplished. It'll happily drive to the grocery store and back without fuss, or any effort on the part of the driver. At 12 PSI, it's putting down over 500 wheel horsepower on Chevron 94 octane (pump gas). If you got a secondary tune on race fuel (110 octane) and increased boost, it'll break 620+ wheel horsepower - the engine block is capable of withstanding 800+ horsepower (all you need is a set of even larger turbos).
It should go without saying that this car IS NOT A TOY, as it is VERY VERY FAST. NO TEST PILOTS, AND NO DREAMERS.
Sad to see it go, but my Master's is more important.
Price is set at $16,000 or
reasonable offer. Car is on the island.
Please note, the masking tape (and golf-tee) in the engine bay picture have since been removed. That photo was taken while double checking final hook-ups / vacuum deletes.
Thank you for your time.
