thanks for all the responses so far. ill say this one more time but i DO NOT give a shit if iphone 5 is coming out. i use and rely on my phone a lot and the only phone i want right now is the 4s. i actually use all my apps on a daily basis and i do need an iphone for certain apps for work right now. i can always buy the 5 when it comes out. money to buy the phone isnt really a problem. biggest problem now is getting the plan i want for a rate i can justify paying for. friend is kinda bailing out on me with hooking me up with a cheap plan so im probably going to do what ForbiddenX is right now and take over someone's plan! great idea haha didnt think about that |
I'm in a similar situation as forbiddenx. Texts aren't going through and the area of surrey I live in is on the edge of winds coverage area so in most parts of my house I get no service. I'm looking for a plan that's under $60 all in, data and caller id/voicemail included. As for minutes, I don't need much of any 150-200 is more than enough and i would like something that's got unlimited text/mms with about 2gb data. I'd actually settle with 1gb as well, but the more the better. Also thought I'd mention that I'm looking to get an iPhone 4s as well. |
hmm since you'll be literally signing up as a new customer you can either do fido $25+30+6 which is $61 but doesn't include mms. or bell $67. fido is prolly the closest at $61 unless you can find someone's retention plan to take over. or you can do the small biz plan on bell $55 bux but requires 2 lines so if u have a friend to share with or something and u actually do have a small biz. i know rogers, telus, bell are all doing $0 iphone 4 now |
Has there been any mention of the carriers doing an lte data promotion for the launch of the S3? I think I might be leaning more towards that now lol. |

k just updating this thread to confirm rumors. so co worker used to work in telecommunications and confirmed that rogers will NOT offer the 6GB data plans anymore. Reason is because they are actually losing money providing the LTE service. Friend finally replied me and i got an employee's discount code and even when i logged on the telus website the plans were retardedly expensive. they jacked up the prices for data plans and everything. 6/9gb data addon is $60 :/ still looking for a plan right now :/ got 17 days to do so. found nice 3 year agreements on craigslist but you must have a business license because those are business plans. right now im just thinking about staying with mobiliciity but tethering data to the iphone as it will be a cheaper alternative but it will get annoying :/ |

3klipse on revscene also got offered the LTE but i think you have to be an existing customer to get it :/ thanks for the heads up ill call in anyways to see if they are willing to offer it to me! damn that means ill have to get a sgs3 but ill probably switch back to iphone shortly after lol |
Has anyone on here ever delt with times telecom before? I went and got a phone from them this morning with that $67 plan and boy did these guys ever seem shady as fuck. I'm honestly worried that their gonna try and pull some kind of credit card scam or something on me. Gonna be watching my online statements very closely for the next little while. Funny thing was that buddy who's the main sales guy there is named Alan but in his ad on CL it says his name is Tom but when I asked him about it he said he can't use his real name on CL. That and he looks coked out. |
the 6gb lte plan is only available if you are on a voice + data package ie $xx for voice + $xx for data. all the new activation done recently are all a bundle so they wouldn't be able to give you the $30 6gb normal or LTE without significantly altering your plan and since you no longer get subsidies for smartphones unless you get a bundle plan.. most likely you can't get the $30 for 6gb normal or LTE unless you are on retention. |
business plan you can get 6gb lte no problem |
i'm pretty happy with rogers $55 taxes in from rogers 500 daytime minutes e/w @ 6 caller id/voicemail 6gb LTE data sign up for a plan, and just bring your a-game when you speak with retentions dept. ive only been with rogers for 5 months |
^ how did u get that plan. I have a similar plan but I''ve been rogers for over 7 years |
