Shit like that would not happen here. First of all, the bus driver would report incidents to supervisor and kid will not be allowed on the bus again. Parents will have to drive their kid to events, school, whatever. As far as I know, there are no bus monitors in any of the school buses run in our province. If it is field trips, most districts have a travel policy of x number of adults per number of students.

If you have to have bus monitors, you have basically lost control. A friend of mine is a school bus driver. He has little to no problems with disipline. Kid fucks up, they walk to school or have mommy drive. Believe me, once a parent is inconvenienced, the kid will be on best behaviour. Nothing happens until the parents get punished.

spideyv2 06-21-2012 10:41 PM

I used to be a little shit disturber when I was young, but wow, this shit sickens me. I would slap the shit out of my kid if he were to do some shit like this.

Honestly, stuff like this goes viral for a few days, and there's always pronunciations that the parents and kids will be disciplined, etc. Sure maybe the kids will get suspended, but will they actually learn anything? I highly doubt it. I hate to say it, but the only way kids will learn is getting the back of the hand to the face.

Senna4ever 06-21-2012 10:56 PM

What a horrific video.

lgman 06-21-2012 11:48 PM

they posted some of the punk's phone numbers on the youtube, 2nd link with their faces. Not sure how long that's gonna last.

Expel these punks a week before graduation Then hold a mandatory PUBLIC PTA meeting in town hall requiring each the parents and the students involved alleged attacks and have them read a written apology to Karen and everyone in the Greece, NY area that got a black eye from this incident.

Picking up trash will do nothing, fines will do nothing it's straight up give those people a last chance to make things right again and going public with it.

CorneringArtist 06-22-2012 06:17 AM

They supposedly posted the video in hopes of getting Youtube fame because other people posted bullying videos and got views. Can you say "BACKFIRE"?

The donations are almost at half a million. Likely, by the time you read this, it will be over 500,000. Fuck the haters that say she should donate some money. It's her money, and she can do what she wants with it. There's always going to be someone else who needs it. Well, this lady could definitely use it from having to put up with uppity kids, and a poverty-level salary.

drunkrussian 06-22-2012 07:47 AM

great to see something terrible work out into something amazing. just when you think humans are fucked something like this happens that changes your mind. hopefully kids like these are just a minority and our future is not a total shitshow

Bus bullying video becomes fundraising juggernaut and social media soap opera - The Globe and Mail

I'm happy to hear that these parents are embarassed by their children. That was disgusting behaviour. Yes, kids are cruel, but I can't recall it being that bad when I was in high school. People actually respected their elders.

"The school system in the Rochester suburb of Greece says it will suspend the middle school students from school and from using regular bus transportation for a year for bullying Karen Klein.

The students will be transferred to a special alternative education program because the district is legally required to give them an education. Each student also will be required to complete 50 hours of community service with senior citizens."

I think nobody can make the world perfect. This kind of harassment happens every day, anytime, anywhere. The only thing we can do is that everyone should do whatever they should do to make the world better.
