I don't understand why so many critics and...people in general don't like this series or Sorkin's work in general. I fucking LOVED Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip but it was cancelled after a season. Do the big words scare Americans? Maybe because half of them are insulted by the Tea Party = American Taliban? Maybe because the show leans heavily left despite the main character being a Republican?

I'm going to say the latter reason. Sorkin is a staunch Democrat and his views often show through in his shows, particularly The West Wing.
I'm up to date. Exciting season so far. Each one of the storylines seems big and interesting. It's like each group of characters has a small issue and a BIG issue to deal with as well as the overall big story of Neal's government leak.
