just a serious question
why would people buy this game if there's a lockout this season? Did everyone just quit the NHL12 community so there's no more online games?

because it has nothing to do with the "lockout season"
improvements in gameplay once again make this another great great game

Just a theory, but having the real NHL lockout could have been a factor in forcing EA's hand to actually work on improving upon game features and the actual GAMEPLAY rather then just releasing a repackaged NHL12 with new rosters.

NHL11 to NHL12 was barely any changes... this years is quite different, I'm still getting used to the skating mechanics ...

I'm looking at our team page, we're 47th in pro. Guess a lot of teams have been playing a lot, surprised u guys didn't play at all yesterday.

+1. Hockey season or not, I get the game every year. Yes I'm a sucker but I play EASHL hardcore and the rest of the my team gets it so I have to get it either way :lol

No there's only 1 rsn team. The team that Jmac and I'm on are a different team. We were on the rsn team last year.

hotjoint and Mini-Kangaroo have their own team, which they started last spring and I joined in August after the NHL 12 Revscene team kind of fell apart.

Not sure about this year but last years Be-a-GM was a joke ... I could throw in the CDC Special of Ballard, Raymond + pick for pretty much ANY superstar in the league lol!... I wonder if I can abuse it the same way ... I'll have an all-star team by the end of the week!

Haha yeah I'm the GM of LA, sorry I don't have much time to play during "regular" hours. I only play at like 1am cuz I have to work ALL day... I work in a restaurant ... like I said earlier though I'll be on tonight, maybe around 1?

Trade's are somewhat harder now.. It is not like NHL12 where pretty much I can trade Taylor Hall & 2 First Round Picks for Crosby or Stamkos. They put in a new feature where it shows what the team is willing to give away and who they want from your team. You can still go after the big star players but you have to give up a lot more now

Jmac: it's pretty crazy how fast teams lose ranking when they're not playing. We were 120 in elite after yesterday, now 230 wtf....

Last night it was only me and fapatron, we did 'ok' with a 2-1 record. It was funny because the opposing team utilized the same strategy for all 3 periods; slap shot coming down the end zone, get rebound off the goalie and score. stupid.

Sometimes I really wonder what the hell the AI goalies are doing. Had an AI CPU score from the blueline on our CPU goalie in one of our drop in games.

lol yeah, beats me as well. This NHL 11 slapper down the wing where the goalie lets out a huge rebound needs to go. Had a few teams do that to us as well but they never scored. I've played a drop in game with you before J-Chow, you're a solid player. Too bad I was on the opposite team and my team was full of noobs and/or puck hogs. I always check the club scouting to see who's a free agent or on a team since I do the recruiting for our team :fullofwin:

This is a wicked game and cant wait to play it some more...love the new skating mechanisms they implemented!!
