Seems there is some issue with the wirless on the Nexus when loading vidoes from PPS or Netflix it always lag, no issue on my Note2 using the same wireless network..... anyone having with wireless... I updated ot 4.2.2
EDIT so after using it for a while I can say Nexus 7 is decent but there are some things I don't like about it.
First the battery doesn't seem to last as long as my ipad mini. After a day use the Nexus 7 have about 40% left. With my ipad mini I can use for a good 3 to 4 days before it needs a charge. The Nexus 7 is good for reading but for web surfing or watching videos I still perfer the Ipad mini because the screen is bigger and seems brighter. The Nexus 7 wifi just sucks, I keeps getting disconnected so watching movies is almost unberable. The Nexus 7 feels better since the back is rubber so is easier to pick up. The Nexus 7 have no have back camera and that's a big drawback.
Overall, The nexus 7 is good at the price point but I will say if anyone wants a decent tablet it might be a good idea to pay a little extra for a better tablet with more functions.
Exchange my nexus for a samsung note 8. The screen on the note 8 is a lot better and seems to be more smooth as well. Not to mention there is no wireless. The S-pen functions is pretty useful. Already used it and seems to be really good. There was a sale for the samsung note 10 from Ncix $449 which is very decent.

Depends on how you want to order it. If you're ok with just the black with red interior - Amazon.com has it for $30 with free shipping.
If you want to customize the colour - you'll need to get it directly through their site - where it's $35+ plus shipping. If you sign up for their newsletter and wait a day, you will get a 10% off coupon - but you'll still need to pay for shipping. If you get it shipped to Canada, it's not cheap. I think shipping to the states is $6.

So who is going to get the new N7?
currently using note 8 so I have no intention of getting it but it might be a worthy upgrade over the old N7.
I bought 2 of them on Amazon... Going to give one to my dad as present and keep one for myself. The 32GB was sold out so I am forced to get the 16GB. It's being dropshipped to Hong Kong at the moment. That CPU and screen at the price is such a steal.

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.
they said availability is this tuesday. they trying to beat staples by one day.
Quote:
Google’s new Nexus 7 tablet is now available for pre-order at big box retailers Best Buy and Future Shop. The only model listed is the 16GB and the price is $249.99, which is similar to competing retailer Staples, but the difference is the availability date. While Staples is expected to have the new 7-inch Android 4.3 tablet available on July 31st, both Best Buy and Future Shop are pegging the “Estimated release date: 07/30/2013.” That’s this coming Tuesday. It also looks like stock will be extremely limited as they “Limit 1 per household.”
