lost chip key

So i lost my chip key yesterday,does anyone has expirience with making a new one?can i go only to my dealership or somewhere esle as well?

when i bought the car i only got 1 key and one fob.

With those.. I think it's only at dealerships as far as I know.. smart keys/immobilizer keys could only be requested from the dealer

A decent locksmith will likely be able to reprogram them for you. Just make sure you bring ALL your keys with you when you go see them as they'll have to reprogram all of them to your immobilizer. (Last time I had Acura reprogram my keys I had to bring all of them with me)

Maybe it depends on the brand. I recently looked into getting a new MB key, multiple respected indys told me that they can only be ordered directly from MB.
