Revscene on Facebook!

Because I know some aren't aware, revscene has their own facebook group. Here you can keep up to date on mini rs meets and stuff.

If you haven't already done so please like it.

and no fail button!

I'll see if I can find a way to let people organize events here on the site itself... Good luck getting everyone to link their real life personas to a forum, even if it is for an in-person meet.

Tell that to the couple of dozen people who signed up to RS's Facebook group today, and the people coming to the noob meets

spoon.ek9 07-07-2012 11:42 PM

^ exactly. You can see our community is heading in the right direction by stepping out from behind our keyboards and actually talking to people in person :D

belaud 07-08-2012 12:04 AM

True. I was at Noobie Meet #1. It's a good direction I know but hopefully nothing gets out of hand

Why doesnt It mix? For me personally I post on RS like I would be talking to you face to face. If you have a issue of acting like your self online you should really think about how society has changed do to FB and Internet forums like RS. I have gained a large group of great friends just with that and see no point on acting fake cause it will get u no where in the long run.

murdoc nailed it. many of us carry ourselves here on RS exactly as we would IRL. internet personas are..... let's say childish.

x2

I act exactly how I would online as I do in person. Well, okay, maybe I'm a bit quieter in person but it's not like there's a persona I hide behind or try to e-thug it out to make myself sound more badass. If that's what you have to do, then you need to take a look at how you perceive yourself. It's why I try to go to as many meet as I can. It's nice putting a real physical person behind a username that I've interacted with online for years.
