I swear to god, how can a group of people as "important" as a government think that this is a good idea?
Let's think of the implications.
-demolition crew, explosive agents on your clothes.. TERRORIST
-target shooters, gunpowder on your clothes... TERRORIST
-cocaine from bills being transfered to your hands and clothes... TERRORIST
-scientists... TERRORIST
-glaucoma... TERRORIST
-farmer dealing with ammonium nitrate (fertilizer)... TERRORIST
There's probably a million more situations in which this would kill the efficiency of security checkpoints.
How could this have possibly been considered a good idea?

the usa is just running itself into the ground
the only difference between europe and its big brother program and america is that europeans riot/protest and get things changed/done how they want it if the govt. goes too far

I'm honestly amazed that the citizens of the United States haven't tried to overthrow the government based on the complete lack of proper leadership and/or disorganization of the government to date. It's just a bunch of pre-school cuss fights with no progress to be seen.
I like the United States, but that country is going to die off if someone doesn't do something drastic to bring it back up to snuff. It's becoming more and more like the Divided States of America.
Eventually, after they raise the debt ceiling (x) more times, someone is going to come knocking, wanting their money back.
Do they even know that they are the laughing stock of the world right now?
