Official Steam thread I was looking through the threads and I don't see an Official Steam thread. So I thought I would make one to so we can share Steam ID's and talk about anything Steam related (eg. Sales, new games, reviews) Something like the Revscene.net group except there's a thread as well now :) Add me up: superboypoon I play Dungeon Defenders and CS currently but I have Magicka, LF2, TF2 but I don't play them at all cuz too boring lol. Search Revscene.net to join the group as well. |

Just a heads up guys, be careful trading with people who add you on Steam unless you know they are 100% legit. I've had a few people add me looking for me to trade TF2/Dota2 items in exchange for games. This sounds good, but most likely they will do a chargeback and you have just lost your items AND your account will be locked due to accepting the game that issued the chargeback. |
anyone playing Payday 2? |

Steam Announces Family Sharing Steam Family Sharing, a new service feature that allows close friends and family members to share their libraries of Steam games, is coming to Steam, a leading platform for the delivery and management of PC, Mac, and Linux games and software. The feature will become available next week, in limited beta on Steam. Steam Family Sharing is designed for close friends and family members to play one another's Steam games while each earning their own Steam achievements and storing their own saves and application data to the Steam cloud. It's all enabled by authorizing a shared computer. “Our customers have expressed a desire to share their digital games among friends and family members, just as current retail games, books, DVDs, and other physical media can be shared,” explained Anna Sweet of Valve. “Family Sharing was created in direct response to these user requests.” Once a device is authorized, the lender's library of Steam games becomes available for others on the machine to access, download, and play. Though simultaneous usage of an account’s library is not allowed, the lender may always access and play his games at any time. If he decides to start playing when a friend is borrowing one of his games, the friend will be given a few minutes to either purchase the game or quit playing. For more information about Steam Family Sharing and the beta program, please visit http://store.steampowered.com/sharing. :fullofwin: |
this is HUGE news Valve took Microsoft's abandoned policy and this could REALLY get the Steam platform out there. Can you imagine Steam Box + Steam Big Picture + lending DRM games...it'll literally kill everything else commercially. I dont see how developers will react to this...i hope it goes through. |
BTW I have been giving away my spare Steam keys (mostly from Humble Bundles) on my facebook page every day or so.. so you might want to check it out! Up for grabs now is FTL! |
apparently I'm an assistant-administrator for the RS group lol. i totally don't remember who the actual creator was (rs name)... anyone remember? |
