-EuroRSN-

Bought a BB 9900 off him, which was stated as "Almost New BlackBerry 9900" with 9.5/10 condition. Pretty much described as mint. Fast replies and we met up asap earlier than sched time, which was a +. Bought the phone. Was smooth transaction. Went home, set it up with rogers, started typing my first text, and saw that the A key will not register unless pressed -really- hard.

Sent a couple texts, got the usual "Haven't had any issues at all.." reply which was expected, and was informed that it's still under warranty. I took it to a Rogers Plus store, and was informed the key is completely worn out and only solution is to send it in, and expected time for it to return is around 4 weeks. Pretty weak.

What started out positive, turned into a completely negative experience.

Its buyer beware but I'd generally feel ok dealing with a RS member. Its too bad stuff like this happens.

^ Yeah, I know buyer beware, but I felt pretty safe with the purchase because he is an active member on the forums, has a high post count, and people seem to know him. Those reasons above make me still want to believe he truly didn't know about the problem, and it really is just a crappy coincidence. In the end, the phone will be fixed, eventually, but the overall experience just sucked.
