One thing that is just shocking to me is how different she looks as Mystique. She was just a kid in First Class. Now she's so curvy :whistle:

I wouldn't go that far but it was definitely far better than the last couple X-Men movies. Glad it wasn't campy. I know a lot of people don't like the way superhero movies have gone the Nolan route, but it definitely suited the mood of this one. Money well spent.

BTW, stay until the end credit scene. ;)

anyone else disappointing by the lack of sentinel vs xmen fight scenes in the present?

the future stuff was awesome but i wanted to see havok blasted a sentinel's arm off and wolverine jumping on the back of one stabbing wildly.

i feel like i still haven't gotten my sentinel fix.

Yea, wanted more sentinels scenes. I dont like how the old sentinels looked either.

That's because at this point Wolverines claws are bone again and would probably break. I'm sure in the next one Stryker will fuse him with adamantium again and he'll be able to go to town on the Sentinels.

Dont get your hopes up. I'm sure this is the last we've seen of the sentinels already especially knowing that the next movie will be apocalypse.

Also mystique was disguised as Stryker at the end of the movie so perhaps the way he gets metal claws is different.

^ X2 is one of the greatest comic book films of all time, way better than first class imo

watching this tomorrow, hoping it lives up to the hype its been getting. spoiled myself and watched the post credit scene on youtube; epic.

Not gonna lie, easily the best X-Men film I've ever seen (even better than X-2 and First Class, and I loved them both!), and arguably my favorite marvel film of all time. I definitely can't wait until the extended bluray is available since they (not much of a spoiler, more like a heads up) cut out all of Rogue's scenes from the theatrical release.

To me, this was slightly better than First Class, which I found better than X2 (which I caught again on TV before watching DOFP). Really enjoyable movie, though to be fair I would probably only pay to watch it again just for that Pentagon scene. Such a fun scene.

I'll buy the hard-copy though. Great film.

Anyone else miss this completely in the movie? Likely scenes left on the cutting room floor?
