Air care for slammed cars

Hey RSers,

I was wondering which Air care people go to when they have s slammed car? I also heard that you can go in do your air care, and reverse back out?? Because there's no way I will clear that last speed bump at the Richmond Air care. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

if your car is obd2, they just scan it and thats it. You can reverse your way out in the Richmond Location.

I think the Vancouver location on marine drive should be ok. Unfortunately they refuse to aircare any vehicle covered with pink decals so you may be out of luck.

There are some shops that are certified to run the test for you. I was able to avoid the bumps and rollers that way.

Aircare on Boundary and Charles has good clearance.

If it's emission testing then they'll only do an idle test.

Certified repair centres, just like any other shop, would just bring the car to the testing station for you. You can always opt to bring it yourself of course, but they are not allowed to run the test for you. Only the Aircare employees themselves are authorized to do so. It's a centralized system to avoid fraud. That's why there's so much fraud with smog testing down in Cali because it's decentralized.

That's the worse one if anything.. you have to drive up on an incline to get into their building. If your car is low enough you'd just get high centered right where you're about to enter the building

Don't want to mess with my suspension set-up and alignment if I have other ways around it.

I have scrape enough before, don't want to ruin my front diffuser this time.

Do you know which shops are those? I have never heard about that. It would be a good reference though!

When i had my lowered car years ago I took it to the Coquitlam location (close to Ikea) they just plugged the computer in and stuck a sensor in front of my exhaust pipe. Never put it up on the rollers. Backed out no problems. The only shitty thing was they said that only covered me for 1 year, instead of 2 years, like when they do the "full" test. Didn't bother me at all at the time.
