So I've noticed over the past while that the power lock on my driver's side door does not work properly. I've flipped the switch to lock, the passenger's door and the hatch locks but the driver's door does not lock successfully. I see the lock trying to budge (which tells me the motor still works) but it doesn't lock, so whenever I arm my vehicle I have to manually lock the driver's side everytime.
Turns out the rod of the actuator (at least that's what I think it is ) was just dangling freely inside my door panel. If that's it, would that mean I would still have to replace the entire actuator or just the rod that's been misplaced?
