Port Coquitlam man facing charges after 3-hour chase through Metro Vancouver METRO VANCOUVER - A 29-year-old Port Coquitlam man is facing criminal charges of dangerous driving after a dramatic motorcycle chase through several Metro Vancouver municipalities Thursday evening. For more than two hours, an RCMP helicopter tailed a man speeding through the streets on a 2012 black Ducati motorcycle in excess of 200 kilometres per hour. He was arrested just north of Burnaby's Metrotown mall around 7:30 p.m. after police say he switched vehicles and attempted to escape in a black Range Rover, driven by a woman. Cpl. Rick Skolrood, a spokesman for the Burnaby RCMP, said Friday that the Ducati and a 2006 Range Rover SUV have been seized as part of the investigation. The woman who was driving the SUV has not been charged. The man is facing charges of dangerous driving and criminal flight from police. His name has not yet been released. The chase began around 5:30 p.m. when an RCMP helicopter spotted a motorcycle driving in a dangerous manner while crossing the Pitt River Bridge. The helicopter then tracked the motorcycle driver travelling at speeds in excess of 150 km/h on the Lougheed Highway and 200 km/h on the Trans Canada Highway. Police cars were held back as the helicopter followed the man while he allegedly sped through Coquitlam, Burnaby, New Westminster, Vancouver and Richmond, looping back through each several times. The helicopter followed for about two and a half hours until the suspect went into Metrotown Mall's underground parkade in southwest Burnaby, according to police. Multiple police cars immediately flooded the parkade to find the suspect, but he was soon spotted speeding away in a black SUV with a woman behind the wheel. The SUV was stopped several blocks away by a VPD officer near the border with Vancouver at Kingsway and Olive Avenue. The man and the woman were both arrested without incident. © Copyright (c) The Vancouver Sun Read more: Port Coquitlam man facing charges after 3-hour chase through Metro Vancouver :suspicious: |
Jeffield? :lawl: I know its not, 29 year old :fuckthatshit: |
lol what a fail. |
Was going to Metrotown yesterday after supper and I saw a helicoptor making some fairly "aggressive" turns. Now I know who they were looking for. |
You guys didn't catch this on the news last night? The chick that was with him looked kinda hot and had a pretty nice rack! |
Sounds like no fucks given. He will get tickets, and pay the fines, and still, no fucks will be given. |

Your late to the party Brah look for the other thread. Berz out. |
Should have tried a less well managed parking lot with less video cameras.. perhaps Crystal Mall? I suppose he wasn't wearing that much riding gear, hence being picked out so easily? Perhaps he should try Skytrain next time. |
he'd get run over in crystal mall by a c-lai backing out with her mercedes suv |
did they actually chase him or follow him by helicoptor? |
Too bad this fucktard didn't hit a pole 10 minutes into the chase, could have saved some serious coin on the fuel bill for the copter. |
i wonder how they knew if was him in the SUV. Seeing as how your wearing a helmet and what not on the bike it would be rather hard for the police to identify you 100% as the motorcycle driver. |
^^ should have ran in the crowds at metro or hide in trunk of suv |

Went VCB and found him in another vehicle... I doubt the charges would stick. |
So how do they prove it was him? Did they ever get the plate details on the Ducati? If he gets a lawyer I suspect they can't do shit... |
