me too. mine's not as purdy as that one though. |
Looks nice but I don't like how the flap doesn't completely cover the edges of the bag. |
It's not perfect but it's the only bag of this size that fits my needs. Posted via RS Mobile |

My bags are same as Mashimaro but in different colors Don't have pics of my actual bag so I grabbed from flickr Hadley Large http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7069/6...eb96731b_z.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/a...july8-0001.jpg Hadley Pro in Black/Tan http://www.bz2-img.com/images_custom...258782_raw.jpg |
^ how much? Now that I have the 70-300 I need a new bag :( lol Posted via RS Mobile |
When I get a mirrorless camera, I'll buy a Billingham for it. :D |
C3m - very nice!!! I debated the lighter color as well :) Hondaracer - the Billingham Large ran me about $280 and the smaller Hadley Pro ran me $300 before taxes. The Large fits my 5D3 and 70-200 2.8 IS II attached (no grips) without any problem. :) Ronin - do it! :) Posted via RS Mobile |
I got myself one of these :) http://www.simonkeitch.com/blog/wp-c...ler-X200-2.jpg Inside I have: 5d2 1d3 Rokinon 14mm 35L 50L 85L 45 TS-E 135L 70-200 2.8L IS Filters, blower, memory cards, batteries, etc etc. Oh... and it fits my 15" MBP and meets carry on standards. I also have a flipside 400aw that I use when I need to pack light. I can't use shoulder bags.. they kill my back |
Just picked up a Hadley Small in black/tan :) |
Those Billinghams look great! Where did you guys buy your Billingham bags? Did you choose the canvas or fibernyte version? Posted via RS Mobile |

There's a tan coloured billingham Hadley pro for sale on Craigslist right now with the optional shoulder pad. Price is pretty good. Just a heads up. I don't know the seller or am affiliated in anyway :) Posted via RS Mobile |
Found this today. Interesting looking backpack. ~150 euro http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/015...024x1024.jpg?0 Also comes in green and blue. http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/015...024x1024.jpg?0 |
Are camera bags more protective because they have dedicated slots to put your gear in? Can I not just throw my gear into a regular backpack? |
It comes down to padding mostly, there is padding throughout the entire bag. The outside shell has foam built into it, and all the dividers have foam to stop your gear from hitting against each other. Also they tend to have softer fabrics inside to prevent scratches. |
dat leather :sweetjesus: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8227/8...cf374f2d_o.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8387/8...af793f29_o.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8099/8...9d703abe_o.jpg Ona Brixton. Nice bag, I like the distressed leather on the outside, I really like the buckles, gives it the look without the need to actually unbuckle so I can get my camera out much faster. Also has a magnetic slot in the back for a tablet. I am disappointed in the velcro inserts inside the bag tho. The velcro was cut and stiched crooked and the cardboard inside the inserts that hold its form weren't cut to length so some of the inserts loose their form. But overall, the bag is nice, finally have a leather messenger bag that is made for a DSLR that can hold three lenses, a flash and laptop and/or tablet. |
^ really steep at $420 :/ |
