SpartanAir | 08-13-2012 07:36 PM | A reminder that life is precious... Just found out that good friend of mine's best friend, and best friend's husband, were killed in a head-on collision Sunday on Hwy 1 near Lytton. Cause of the crash is unknown; speed and alcohol are not thought to be factors. Two killed in head-on crash on Hwy 1 Quote:
Two people are dead after two vehicles collided head-on on Highway 1 northeast of Lytton, B.C. Sunday afternoon.
Ashcroft and Lytton RCMP were called to the scene of the crash, about six kilometres north of Spences Bridge, at around 2:30 p.m. The driver and passenger of a Ford Focus were both killed in the collision while the driver of the other vehicle, a Hyundai Santa Fe, was flown by air ambulance to Kelowna General Hospital with serious injuries.
Highway 1 remained closed Sunday night as the RCMP South East District Collision Reconstruction Unit continued to investigate. Police do not believe that alcohol or speed were contributing factors in the crash. Traffic was being rerouted via Highway 97C at Ashcroft and Highway 8 at Spences Bridge.

Life is short, and precious. Don't waste time, and tell the people you love that you love them often.
I hope this post prompts at least one person to reflect on how lucky they are to have people to care for, and care for them.
Thanks for your time. |
