went 6-4 promos and got gold 5 from gold 3 last season. andnow im at gold 2. i hit gold 1 promos and lost and now im on a tilt lol back to practically 0 lp in g2 lost like 5-6 ranks in a row
hows everyone been in game ?

I'm noob, got S5 last season. Went 7-3 in placements, then got put in B3. Been having a hard time moving up with so many trolls/afks on my team.

Anyone getting an FPS drop after the recent updates?
My FPS count up top doesn't drop, but I can see my champ skipping about. Feels slower, I play with it uncapped but Im still hovering around the 43fps mark.
Any ideas?

ELO Hell, I was in Silver last season and did ok, then went 8-2 in placements and somehow got thrown into Bronze. Been here ever since, whenever I go on a winning streak I somehow end up on a team with a troll or afk and lose a few in a row.

thats how it works. i ended in gold 4 last season.
after going 7-3 in placements, i was sent straight down to bronze 3.
w.t.f.
now i play rank once in a while, and im back to silver 1.
im pretty sure i can make it back up to at least gold 5 before end of season

The rank is just eye candy to what they make you think your skill is at.
The real actual determination is your MMR. I was playing in Silver 3 where I had won a streak of games, and was matched with players in Gold 2.
You can find your MMR on na.op.gg. I'm sure it's pretty dead on. When it says that my MMR is above my league, I get matched with players higher than me and that is when I usually fall back down. Quote:

It literally keeps you at 50% win rate unless you excel the skills in that ELO. I suspect that matchmaking even checks how many times a player had AFK or got reported and if you're on a winning streak, they'll put that player on your team.
Basically where you're at now, you'll be floating around there for the rest of the season because matchmaking keeps you at 50% win rate. That's why every player on the forum always say, better your game and you'll get out of ELO hell. So if all 5 players on a team take that advice into consideration and just practice and practice, instead of blaming each other, they'll get out.

Bang on mr_chin.
I'm floating at pretty much .500 right now. Sounds arrogant but to be honest; Every game I lose it's NEVER me. I rarely ever lose my lane. More often than not the case is that I would be 8/0/2 as Pantheon top lane but ADC and Supp sport a combined 1/14/1. Then a fed as shit Vayne would roll in and melt me.

winning lane doesnt mean winning game unless you can carry.

And I found that my win rate has increased ever since I start dodging games where there are trolls. Even when I sometimes don't get the role I want to play, or if my team pick into the their counters. You know, every little thing that gets you skeptical about winning.
You get one dodge that costs 3 LP and 5 min penalty which does not affect your MMR, every 16 hours. So use it wisely. Use two if you really need to dodge a second time.

Its pretty brutal. I don't play that much anymore, I'm in gold on smurf and didn't even do all my placement matches on main yet.
Whenever you get into a promo series, I swear theres always one guy on your team who does a troll pick. Sometimes they work, but most of the time they're just completely troll and full retard ensues.
Wouldn't mind starting some sort of rank 5 team to get some real games going, but pretty sure every team we'd play are well coordinated etc.
I play pretty much every role except top, and I excel in the jungle/bottom lane.
