looking to take your resonator out?

hi all, i recently went to a shop to take out my resonator

they do good work, but i wasn't sure about their welding, my friends go there and good work is done, so i inquired about taking out my resonator and getting it replaced with a pipe

they said sure, so i trusted them to do what i wanted

they were done, lowered my car and drove it out, didn't show me the welds or anything, didn't ask if i wanted my resonator back, i had to ask for it

right when i was about to leave, they told me to come back because the weld wasn't finished

drove around for a week with exhaust leak, went back to fix

fix took about 2 hours, picked up car, still leaked

looked under the car, ugly welds, they took off the hanger off the resonator and just left it on the resonator so my whole exhaust was sagging and rubbing against things

at this point i should of contacted them to fix it again, but if they did it wrong the first 2 times why would the third time be any better

didn't even weld the top

decided to go to the speed syndicate to fix my problem

https://www.facebook.com/video/video...51036453442515

they did a great job, fit me in on their tight schedule, told me what they were going to do, showed me along the way, told me what to expect IF something were to go wrong

i will NOT be revealing where i originally got the weld done at, please do your research before doing any kind of welding work done

big thanks to Curtis at the speed syndicate for doing such great work!

also thanks to alex for working on a civic looool

GO TO THE SPEED SYNDICATE FOR WELDING!

Why would you not reveal who did the first welds? If they did a shitty job, they deserve to be outed.

LOL at those first welds. I knew it was bad but not that bad. That shit looks like a hella bad tumor.

The name of the shop that did those first welds is the same name of a Las Vegas hotel

They obviously tried to weld it overhead while still on the car instead of taking it off and doing it properly. Brutal welds.

Berz out.

what's the point of your post that goes on rambling about how horrible and bad this shop welded your exhaust, then at the end you don't tell us the name of said shop?

The public deserves to know who did that horrible weld job so they can avoid them like the plague (and then hopefully, they go out of business). Totally unacceptable.

Did that person even turn on the gas?
Looks like Porosity. Then he tried to weld over it.

No gas = You can very clearly see the pores in the weld.

That's disgusting.

Makes me wonder if this person ever went through any formal training at all.
I know at BCIT they let the Autobody/Plumbers into the welding shop to learn how to Mig/Oxy+Fuel.

They either hired a bum, or someone who knew how to bullshit thier way through. Mig Welding is stupid easy. Point. Shoot. Move.

You would think at one point, the idiot looked at it and thought "Hey, this looks like shit. I should probably grind it down to hide it."

This person should be fired. Unless it was the owner. Then, well...
