I know no one here autocrosses but I thought i'd post it up anyways as this car could be an awesome track car!
I've had the car for just over 2 years now. Bought it completely stock.
Roughly 140,000km. Engine is very strong, burns no oil and it is not daily driven, only autocrossed, so that says something! Always use synthetic oil and change 3 times a year.
Has a new radiator
Newish plugs/wires/coils
No oil leaks, newish cam seals and valvecover gasket
Transmission was rebuilt by previous owner and it feels great, not sloppy whatsoever.
It is a base model with power steering. (synthetic redline powersteering fluid)
The car weighed in at roughly 2190lbs on one set of scales and 2170lbs on another.. that is very light for a 99!
All parts bought new and used for this one season!
Power:
Custom short 90* intake
Kool koated (black) racing beat header
FM 2.25" stainless midpipe
Custom enthuza muffler
Dynotronics reflashed ecu with limiter bumped to 7500rpm (car hits 100kph in 2nd)
Suspension:
"Xida-S" Coilovers. basically AST 5100's fine tuned for miatas with 949's help.
800/500 hypercoil springs
1.125" racing beat front bar
949's supermiata front endlinks
stock rear bar
All control arms have energy suspension poly bushings with grease nipples installed.
15x9 6ul's with 225/45 rs3's
silver 949 lugnuts
Brakes:
Carbotech AX6 pads in front
M-tuned brackets/sport rotors/hawk hp+ in rear
This combo works really well I find, not as much front lockup
Drivetrain:
Very solid engine mounts from roadster tuner (replace with mazdaspeed ones if you want to daily drive it!)
Energy suspension diff mounts
OS Giken diff ($$$) new bearings and seals as well
4.3 final drive
Also has a kirkey drag seat and leather nardi wheel, can come with the stock seat instead if you want.
I also have a spare set of 700/400 springs and the stock suspension too.
I have another set of wheels, 15x8's with 195 r1r's or the stock wheels.
Everything can be negotiated. I am probably forgetting something... ah well. Oh yaaa, it comes with a matching hardtop with defrost!
Looking for $10,500 with the 6ul's.. less with the konig flatouts and even less if you provide your own wheels. Also if you want the car on stock suspension (not recommended!) I could drop 2k off the price.
Obviously I have way more into the car than I am asking and realize a lot will be lost. Still not sure what is worse... having it sit in the garage and not be driven or sell it and regret it... :|
edit: would make an awesome track car with some slight tweaks to the brakes!
If it doesn't sell for a fair price I will part it out.
