CA18DET swap

Hey guys,

I just bought a 240 sx with a ca18det swap. I knew the turbo was going to go soon so I got a minty shell with a swap for 3k. I knew it was too good to be true.

I ended up doing a compression test. I had significantly lower compression in the 4th piston (closest to the Driver). That being said it was torn apart and for the most part it looked great on the inside aside from 5 of the 8 piston rings being fucked.

I dropped all the components off at the machine shop. I'll have a brand new CA in 2 weeks.

So my question to the Revscene Community is, have any of you done a CA18 swap, and are there any tips, tricks, or problems that you came across???

any input is greatly appreciated

Ive done one. Very underrated great motors they have very similar architecture to an rb and love boost. I've even seen guys in Japan pulling 600hp out of them with a stock block and crank.
