And more than that, they are a very well prepared team, something you always expect from the Patriots but now it's with Vrabel instead of Belichick. |
Patriots run game is good too with their RBs Henderson and Stevenson.
I can see Vrabel and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels using more of a run game and play action strategy against the Seahawks defence.
Seattle will definitely test the New England offensive line. Their rookie offensive tackle Will Campbell will face a tough test from the Seahawks.
Hoping for a good game from Campbell.

It's a good system for that level of talent on the offense and 2nd year QB (clearly! they are in the Super Bowl)
D line is good too, and the Seahawks will have trouble establishing the run. This has been an issue for them lately. K9 can steal extra yards, but still only averages under 3 yards per carry. Sam will have to be a pocket passer again, instead of relying on play action as much
It's an interesting game. Pats could turn it into a slog fest and win 17-10, or the Seahawks could blow them out.

It shows the importance of scoring more points than the opponents in the playoffs!

The Buffalo Bills have found their new head coach inside their own building.
Offensive co-ordinator Joe Brady will be promoted to head coach, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday. He agreed to sign a five-year deal, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Brady replaces Sean McDermott, who was fired after the Bills lost in the AFC divisional round to the Denver Broncos.
Brady first joined the Bills in 2022 as quarterbacks coach and was promoted to offensive co-ordinator in 2023.

I figure that the Hall of Fame wants to induct Belichick and Brady in the same year. Make it more memorable?

Bill Belichick not being a first ballot HOFer is egregiously bad and makes a mockery of the entire thing

Vikings fired their GM today, his drafting was pretty bad but I'm pretty sure the whole Darnold going to the superbowl thing was the final straw. Honestly, I wasn't even that mad they didn't resign Darnold, I understood why, they wanted to try and improve other areas on the team and have their QB on a rookie salary but they should have brought in a better backup then a banged up Carson Wentz. The issue this year was all the guys they brought in ended up injured except for Rogers, so you spent all this money on FA and they didn't even contribute.
I think his first year when we needed a Safety, Kyle Hamilton is on the board and you trade back and instead and draft Lewis Cine is fireable on it's own.
I do know they offered Daniel Jones more money than he ended up taking in NY, but there were other guys out there. Oh well, onward and upward I guess.... lol

Skinny, your thoughts on your Ravens hiring a former Bears' OC as their new OC? https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article...-co-ordinator/
After losing last season's offensive co-ordinator in Todd Monken to a head coaching position with the Browns, Baltimore has found someone new to run their offence.
The Ravens are hiring former Bears offensive co-ordinator Declan Doyle as their offensive co-ordinator, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday.
The 29-year-old began coaching in the NFL in 2019, spending his first four years with the Saints as an offensive assistant. He was with the Broncos in 2023 and 2024 as a tight end coach before being hired by the Bears last season.
Doyle was recently in contention for the Eagles' offensive co-ordinator position, but withdrew his name from the team's search.
He now has play-calling responsibility in Baltimore, something he didn't have in Chicago with head coach Ben Johnson running the plays there.
In 2025, the Bears' offence ranked ninth in points and sixth in total yards.

I don't have much of a take, considering it was Ben Johnson calling plays in Chicago. So I don't exactly know what what Doyle's responsibilities were there
I expect them to use play action a lot more. Ravens were about mid level in the league for its use under Monken, which seemed pretty low for the tools they have. Defenses take great lengths to stop Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson from running; why wouldn't you take advantage of that?
All I know is I have full trust in the team from the top down, and even though Minter is a rookie HC, I'll assume for now that this was the best hire they could have made. Let's hope it works out!
