Minter was always The Guy, going back years, unless someone else blew them away. And they gave everyone chances!

He's not just familiar with the team, he was developed by them, starting as defensive assistant, DB coach, then getting sent to Michigan with Mike Macdonald to work under Jim Harbaugh.

This takes care of the Zach Orr problem, who also came up through the org under Macdonald and ran his system, but was not a good play caller.

Will be interesting to see who they bring in as OC

Thank you Sean Payton for giving the Patriots extra motivation to beat the Broncos.

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article...ge-trash-talk/

-love this trash talk between a coach and Patriots receive Boutte.

Booty tells a reporter in response to Payton's comments that the Broncos can go to Cancun.

Bad blood is burgeoning ahead of the AFC Championship Game.

The Broncos are in the midst of preparing for Sunday's duel against the New England Patriots, and Denver's head coach Sean Payton was unabashed about his confidence in the upcoming result on Wednesday.

When asked about Broncos fans making noise for their team at Mile High Field, Payton's message to the fans was that "they'll have plenty of time to rest after (Sunday). Two weeks."

Denver's coach all but guaranteed a win for his squad. One Patriot took exception.

After a reporter informed him about Payton's insinuation on Thursday, New England receiver Kayshon Boutte posed a different outcome.

"I mean, they can rest in Cancun too, at the end of the day," said Boutte, who had 75 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' divisional win over the Houston Texans

Run the ball down their throats, Pats!!

When you get this far, I don't think you need bulletin board material ... just makes for good storyline and drama.

Just go out and let your play do the talking, and get it done Pats.

For this week, I'll go with Pats win and Rams win.

Broncos defense can't hold onto the whole game I think.. I want them to win but without Nix it feels so hopeless. Even if they did somehow beat the Pats, they are not taking down either the Rams or Hawks lol

Good news for the other teams in the AFC News. So against the tradition of the Steelers. Why ??

A very un-Steelers move. He's the guy you bring in when you have the players but no leadership and need stability to get back to normal, while getting as much out of a developing QB as possible. They have nobody on offense other than DK, and no QB. Maybe this indicates that's where they think the team is headed - bottom out and draft a QB in 2027.

They're losing their OC as well

Wind and snow are starting to have an impact on the game.

Dropped ball on a second down for the Broncos.

Like what Tony Romo said, you gotta catch those passes!

The Official *NFL* thread

Another missed field goal because of the harsh weather of wind and snow.

Four missed field goals.

Oh wait, Patriots player tipped the ball on the last Broncos field goal attempt.

Another ugly wins for the Patriots, who seem to benefit from bad weather, shitty QB meltdowns, and backup QBs after an all time easy season

Patriots bullshit is alive and well! They will absolutely steal a Super Bowl

I am very satisfied that the Pats made it to another Super Bowl.

I don’t know about New England “stealing” a Super Bowl.

Weather will not be a factor in sunny Santa Clara.

No snow for the Super Bowl.

Rams or Hawks would be very tough opponents for New England.

Could a second year QB in Drake out play Matt Stafford or Darnold? Hmmm. That is a lot to ask from a young QB.

My prediction is that the Seahawks or Rams would be betting odds favorites in Vegas already against the Patriots.

Pats defence would need to play even better against Seattle or LA.

Patriots need to get their run game going for the Super Bowl.

Seahawks defence? Scary good. The best defence in the league now.

Rams offence under Stafford make big plays. You have a Super Bowl winner in Stafford.

Rams vs Seahawks will be a very close and fun game to watch.

Seahawks win by 1 point tonight.

Hey, a win is a win! Don't let my saltiness affect you lol

Some teams win with a full complete team and perfect planning, some have a QB that takes over, some have a defense that wins it for them, and some just shit down their legs all the way against teams that just happen to do even worse. The end result is always the same!

Well that game rocked! What a game by Sam and the Seahawks. Amazingly almost blown by an all time dumb penalty by Woolen, who just before that dropped a sure INT and just after that got cooked on a TD pass.

Some questionable play calling by McVay, along with bad time out management. If he makes 2 different choices (the obvious ones to most coaches) they would have 1 or 2 minutes to drive for a field goal, rather than play in pure desperation mode

GO HAWKS

Exciting finish in the Rams and Seahawks game, that's all you can ask for. I'm happy for Sam Darnold, I think the loss last year must have taught him something, he's definitely dialed in and won the game. I picked Rams cuz Stafford is battle tested gamer and I thought Darnold was a game manager but today, Darnold matched Stafford and showed he has game. Advance congrats to Seahawks for SB LX Winner.

Watching the other game, neither Pats or Broncos will have anything to match the winner of the NFC. Stidham came out and looked like it was going to be a game ... but 2 crucial mistakes showed his noobness. Maye, sure Pats advanced but he let Stidham outplay him statistically. I don't think I've seen a QB, no matter the weather, win a crucial game with less than 100 yrds passing! That's a couple of terrible games for Maye, tbh, that was hard to watch. I know Denver has a great D but still. Sorry Pasta, I was on the Pats bandwagon up till now but it's time to get off.

Go Pats go! The underdog role for New England suits this team just fine.

Wearing my Patriots Super Bowl XLIX shirt for good luck on February 8th!

So happy my Hawks are making it to the SB again.

Rematch, this time I think we'll rout the Patriots.

They should be heavily favoured

However they will definitely need to keep a spy on Maye. Most of his offense has been on broken plays, where he runs out of the pocket to a 20 yard open field. Their "in the trenches" are very good on both sides. And more than that, they are a very well prepared team, something you always expect from the Patriots but now it's with Vrabel instead of Belichick.
