STOLEN -- Kawasaki ZX7R (easily distinguishable) Posting this here to get some more views. As it turns out, a lot of guys have seen it around, but hadn't seen that it was stolen. Bike is incredibly loud with full Micron pipe. One header wrapped in white, the rest in black, with the can wrapped in white, as well. AEM UEGO wideband O2 sensor welded into a bung after the collector (visible below the driver's foot peg). Front lower fairing was off the bike when it was last seen. Full header is exposed. 3 stickers on the front windscreen - RAUH-Welt Begriff / Team LIMIT / Circuit Soul Clear tail assembly on the rear. Clear front side-markers retrofit from a newer ZX6R. The dual round headlights really give it away. Also has 2 stripes of chrome on each wheel, pink anodized valve stem caps, and a checkered stripe on the lower side of the tail, closest to the seat. Insurance has completely screwed me over on this and is not paying me a cent. Please help me get my bike back. I just got out here from Alberta, and this is my daily driver. I came out here to open a shop and launch my new business-start up. Due to this entire situation, I actually lost the shop space I was going to lease, and am out a good chunk of change that I don't have the money to simply replace due to my current financial situation of launching a new business. This guy has been seen riding around consistently between Stanley park / downtown / Richmond / Surrey (especially around Central). Please keep your eyes peeled. It's an Alberta registered bike, but he slapped a BC plate on it. So if you see it, get the plate number and call it in immediately. If you can keep him within your sight until you get the cops on him, even better. Following that, please give me a call. Number is listed on the image below. There are next to none of this year of the ZX7R around. They were a very short production run to begin with. If you see it out, it's more than likely mind. Thanks. Really appreciate all the help I've received so far. http://imageshack.us/a/img689/1619/stolenresize2.jpg |
Will look out for it |
I always look and stare at green bikes now, I will chase if i see that shit head! |
Saw one very similar today at the surrey central RBC, however, the headlights were not the same. Will look out |
Thanks guys, the more eyes on this scum bag - the better. Really appreciate it. |
I saw something similar but I pass by it, was hurrying to go to school, Last night around 5:30 pm on the way to BCIT, saw it on 49th Ave Shell Gas Station |

How come they aren't paying. Did you have comprehensive and they aren't paying it or did you not have the right insurance? I only ask because I would hate for my bike to get stolen and get screwed around, my optional insurance is all private. I'll keep an eye out for it, I'd be able to spot that easy if I come across it. |
Will keep an eye out from kits to downtown to pne. |
Will keep an eye out from Burnaby to N. Delta and back. |

I had been with the same insurance company for years. Every single one of my vehicles over that span had been covered with PLPD + Comprehensive. When laying out the policy, I had stated my usual requirements as just that. It was handled over the phone, and then signed via email. The application is all structured for their internal usage, and does not clearly state what the total policy coverages are - another broker I'd spoken with had told me just that, and that is what the policy spec sheet is for. That spec sheet is mailed with the permanent pink cards . . . which I did not receive. Prior to this situation, I was back in Edmonton and had JUST renewed my AB plates. I actually had to have another temporary pink card emailed to me from my broker for just that reason. They are very aware that I never received that policy spec sheet, due to that request. I had been back and forth for work between BC and AB with the intent of permanent relocation to launch my new business. This has been a massive headache. This is all to the point where my insurance company is even trying to fight the broker into allowing the claim to process, because it was clearly a broker error in their eyes. But, unless that broker admits fault (which his manager told me would result in him being fired, so I shouldn't hold my breath) there isn't anything they're able to do to process the claim. During the initial scoping of the policy, apparently the broker laid out a "strictly liability" policy. On my end, it was very clearly stated that I required comprehensive coverage, as always. The insurance company sees just that, and is in complete agreeance that the primary role of an insurance broker is to clearly lay out an adequate policy for the customer. With my record of comprehensive coverage, and the requirements laid out - this should have been applied to the policy immediately when it was instated. However, due to all Alberta insurance being privatized, I am forced to get a lawyer to pursue anything further. If I do so, it would turn into a long-winded situation that would likely end up costing me money, or at best breaking even on the loss, in the grand scheme of things. There is a slew of issues that popped up with my brokerage company the last couple months, beyond this. I wish I would have just cancelled and gone with a new company, like my gut told me to. But, this was all during them transitioning me to a new insurance company, so I planned to give it a chance. I'd been with the company for years. Since then, going through everything since my bike was stolen, I also found out they'd dropped comprehensive / parking coverage of my SW20 for absolutely no reason. Nice thing to find out when it had just been on a trailer through the Rockies, with apparently no coverage. I had also been paying for a truck that I sold months ago that they reinstated to the policy for absolutely no reason. A vehicle I don't even own anymore. Their communication has been a total joke, and the customer service has been even worse. It's like they hit a light switch when they changed my insurance company, and it's just been an absolute disaster since. This was my daily driver, and I came out here to pursue opening a shop. Ended up losing the shop space I was interested in due to this situation. Now it's back to hunting down an adequate space, with no primary vehicle to get around in, with a ticking clock for 2 large scale builds we have lined up for November. Someone else made a quick signature to grab the lease while I was dealing with all of this. As it stands, I've been pretty much dead in the water. Just a really shitty chain of events, all courtesy of someone who felt entitled to take someone else's property - worsened by a broker error that trickled down and was never resolved. Even as is, this situation wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have all my funds tied up in launching the business. It's just been really bad timing. I just want to catch the idiot who has the arrogance to be riding it around. TL;DR Insurance broker fucked up the policy, changed me to a new insurance company, screwed up the rest of my policy, and now I'm dead in the water unless I waste my time / money getting a lawyer. Regardless, thanks to everyone keeping their eyes peeled. I doubt I'll get it back in the condition it was in, or even in one piece - but it would be the principle of it, and then I'd at least have some options. We're doing up a bunch of "Kill your local bike thief" (and car, and bicycle) stickers as a bit of a fundraiser to help soften the blow to replace this thing. I'll post up the info soon if anyone's interested. Would really appreciate it. Just have to finish up cutting / weeding them. They take a while due to the intricacy of the designs. http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/7...lyourlocal.jpg |
You should post this up on bcsportbikes.com - News I would be happy to for you but my work computer blocks it. |
I keep seeing neon green bikes in North BBY but none of them have the same headlight/tailights.. |

Thanks for keeping an eye out, too. Really appreciate it. |
I moved from there about 2 years ago. Sorry to hear about such a shitty beginning to the move. |

Got a bit of good news last night that the shop space I'm interested in may actually still be available. The other business that was interested didn't have the credit approval for the lease. Now I'm just hoping I can catch this guy. |
Do it up Alex! |
This was seen again 2 days ago in Surrey, heading towards New West. A guy down the street from me saw it. He assumed it was me and actually scolded me for riding like such an idiot. 200+kmh, weaving through traffic. I explained it was stolen and he was apologized a bunch, and wished he would have known to call it in. Let's find this idiot. Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled. Posted via RS Mobile |
Will keep my eyes open. I go from new west to delta and surrey daily Posted via RS Mobile |
Not to be Debbie Downer, but what are the chances that he's riding around in the city on a NEON GREEN STOLEN BIKE. It's in 100 pieces by now. |
^What you did there is the definition of being a Debbie Downer :rukidding: How hard is it to just say you'll be on the lookout anyway. |
