Wow, I normally hate these shows. But this chick is good, summed up perfectly when the judge said during the performance "you can feel the pain".

It made for good television thats for sure. If you cut out all the back-story though, then this wouldn't girl likely wouldn't have gone as far as she did.

Where as on the Voice, the judges don't know anything about the contestants or how they look, and it's all about talent.
And X Factor is looking for the whole thing. Story, image, style, talent. Which means you can get away with less talent points and more on the others.
