no. most likely before you go INTO the courtroom. While you wait outside , the cop that gave you the ticket, will be there looking for you (possibly asking ppl if theyre "insert your name" ) and when he asks you and you tell him yes this is me or w/e you say he may ask you why youre disputing it. Maybe then you can just state that you want to plea guilty but you can't pay the fine because it's too much and it would help you a lot if he, the cop, could lower the fine

dont even stress about it. seems like you were speeding withing municipality.
since your car wasnt towed as you drove away after.
most of the time they will lower it 100 dollars from the ticket as theres a minimum statutory fine amount. and 100 is the best any judge can do.
and when you go in, be polite.
bow everytime you walk in and out the court room.
when they ask for your name to check the attendance Get up and say your last name and first name. dont sit like the rest of the people.
when your name is called, you get up and bow before you enter the stand.

The worst they will do is make you pay your fine, maybe with a premium but that rarely happens. Stop worrying so much and just do it, God

i think you should have just paid the ticket instead of trying to dispute it.
is all this anxiety worth disputing for something you "might" win?
anyways, show up 20 minutes before your court hearing. so if your court hearing is at 10:30am try to get that at 10:10am. look around for the officer as theres no guarantee that he will be looking for you, although he probably will be.
take the advice that people have given you here and you should be fine. the worst case scenario would be you will just have to pay the ticket.

Or, you know.... just pay the ticket and all the stress will go away. You don't even have to wait for the court day, just go in and pay it, and it will all be over with.

If you are that nervous and want to know more about the process, just go to the courthouse. They pretty much run traffic court everyday of the week at 930 and 130pm i think. It's open to the public to observe. Anyone with any common sense can tell which people to model after and which ones not to.
