This was the first CD bought for myself.
I look back at this now and ask myself what the fuck was I thinking back then.
My dad had CD's ever since he bought a Philips CD160 (1986) for himself. I remember that thing had a special "Media" port on the back that the manual said was for future connection to a PC.... Just a bit ahead of their time. Its in a closet now but I think it still works.
I remember the day he brought it home, my mom gave him shit for spending the money on it.
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

i cant believe how long ago it all seems but big shiny tunes 2 came out in 97. 1997! thats not that long ago. and look at all the shit thats happened in those 15 years. the internet became mainstream, cellphones, mp3 players... facebook (in its world domination) is only like 5 years old! 56k was still common less than 10 years ago.
ive spent like, barely half my life with modern technology. imagine if there were no computers or cellphones or the internet (or all 3 in one) today. if you really stop and think about how new EVERYTHING we rely on today is, its fucking unreal.
imagine where we will be in the next 15 years. people say "they can't possibly invent things to change the world any more than it is now. but they said the same shit in the year 2000 too, and that seems like just yesterday. but that time is ancient stone age compared to today.
brb we will all be blowed up in the aftermath of ww3 in 15 years living like the stone age again.

How about the LAST CD you ever bought/will ever buy? I have been buying music exclusively digitally for the last few years, but for this album I have been waiting for at least 10 years, so I got the CD. It's probably the last big album ever to be released on physical media
